Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 1051

"No. Mr. Gideon's been on his own all these years. Mr. James and Mrs. Everett Senior often urged him to get married, but it hasn't been easy to convince him. Mr. Gideon said he's never going to get married," Belinda said.

Amelia was secretly surprised to learn that Gideon wasn't married and became slightly hopeful. However, the anticipation in her heart dissipated when she heard that he refused to get married.

"But I believe it's not that Mr. Gideon doesn't want to get married. He just hasn't met the right person and is waiting for her to show up."

While speaking, Belinda grabbed Amelia's hand and continued, "I think you're the woman Mr. Gideon has been waiting for."

"Oh… That's impossible, right?" Amelia was shocked and felt slightly embarrassed.

"Why not?" Belinda asked. "I've cared for him for the past 30 years. You're the only woman he's ever taken back to his place. As I said, aside from his little sister, he has never treated any other woman the way he cares for you."

"R-Really?"Amelia couldn't help but feel her heart race as she took in Belinda's words. It sounded somewhat unrealistic.

After all, Amelia did summon her courage back then and confess her feelings to Gideon, but he rejected her. If she were special to him, why did he reject her?

"Of course," Belinda remarked confidently. "After you disappeared, I noticed he seemed down for some time. Although Mrs. Everett Senior urged him to get married and introduced several matches, he firmly rejected all of them. He always became unhappy after being reminded several times.

"Even after Mrs. Everett Senior passed away, he never fulfilled her wish by bringing a girlfriend home. However, as soon as you appeared, Mr. Gideon asked me to take care of you and your son. If he doesn't care about you, would he be this thoughtful?"

Amelia was left in a daze after listening to Belinda's analysis. She felt Belinda's words made sense.

After all, Gideon was someone who kept business and private matters separate. Most of the time, he seemed like a charming gentleman who was easy to get along with.

Amelia didn't hesitate to take the chance for some rest since Eli was still asleep.

What they didn't know was Eli had been awake during the entire conversation. Hence, he heard everything.

Did Gideon like Amelia? Would he be willing to be his father?

The next day, Hera took Dora to visit Eli at the hospital in the afternoon. Samantha, who had just gone for a prenatal check-up, joined them.

The nurse was helping Eli apply some medicine to his wound in the ward. The sight left Amelia feeling upset, and she asked the nurse weakly, "Will there be any scars?"
