Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 1005

It was 3:00 pm. Shaun arrived at the King residence on time to pick up Shannon King. As soon as he arrived at the entrance, he saw her already waiting at the door.

Shannon was already a rather fit woman, so the puffy white jacket made her seem more robust. In addition to her neat, short hair, she looked like a man from afar. Shaun found it hard to look at her.

Shaun was a normal man. He liked women who were graceful and feminine, someone who could spark his desire to protect her. He didn't want a buddy as his lifelong partner.

However, Shaun had already made his choice. He could only comfort himself by saying that he could consider her as his good friend.

In reality, that was how Shannon got along with him too. Initially, he wanted to be more of a gentleman and get out of the car so that he could open the door for her.

"No need. I can do it." Shannon smoothly opened the passenger door and got into the car. Shaun was speechless when he clearly felt the entire car sink downward.

Meanwhile, Shannon sat in the passenger seat and cast a glance at Shaun, feeling a little shy.

She had met many male colleagues in the military, but none of them were as handsome and captivating as Shaun. She was aware of his infamous reputation as a man who partied all the time and always changed girlfriends.

Even her parents were against the idea of her marrying him, but Shannon couldn't help wanting to get close to him whenever she thought of him. Perhaps that was what people meant by love at first sight.

Shannon didn't have high standards when it came to love. She would marry as long as there was a suitable match.

Otherwise, she would serve the country for life. In comparison to relationships, the country was more important to Shannon.

Even after getting married, she had no intention of retiring either. Instead, she would continue holding her position in the military. She had already brought the matter up with Alex and Shaun, and they didn't mind.

"That's too tight, and a dress isn't very practical. Do you have a tuxedo?" Shannon asked while staring at the dress in the display window.

She had spent many years in the military, so she never wore dresses and heels. She also knew that dresses didn't suit her figure.

Shaun was speechless. Even the sales lady was at a loss. Didn't brides want to wear pretty wedding dresses for their big day?

Of course, it wasn't her first time hearing such a request. Lesbian couples would make such a request too.

But it was the sales lady's first time hearing that a bride wanted to match the groom by wearing a tuxedo to her wedding.
