"You don't need to fight me using a method that drains your life force. It's just not worth it," Pierce said.
And he was right. Having just turned 20 years old, Harper was still young, but she was already ranked in the top ten of the Riger Ranking. This made her a rare martial arts prodigy. Given enough time to grow, who could say she wouldn't one day claim a place on the Dragon Ranking?
But if she pushed herself to the brink today, burning her life force to fight, it would be tantamount to destroying her own future potential.
Unfortunately, Pierce's word of advice meant nothing to Harper.
"Whether it's worth it or not isn't for you to decide! Pierce, I must fight you today for the sake of my mentor!"
Harper's aura surged higher and higher as she spoke.
At that moment, Pierce seemed to have come to a decision. His previously serious expression grew even more somber, and the aura emanating from him began to climb as well. Soon, it reached a level that made Harper go pale in the face.
Could the gap in strength between these two Tiger Ranked top-ten powerhouses really be this vast?
At that moment, Harper's expression turned as grim as it could possibly get. She had always known Pierce was powerful, but she had never imagined he could be this overwhelmingly strong.
Before she could react, Pierce made his move. This time, he struck first.
"So be it. Let me show you that even if you burn your life force, you still won't stand a chance against me"
As his words fell, Pierce charged straight at Harper, his aura so overwhelming it felt nearly invincible. The sheer pressure caused the hundreds of elite warriors behind Harper to tremble uncontrollably. They were barely able to resist the urge to flee from the battlefield.
To them, it didn't feel like Pierce was charging alone—it was as if an entire army was launching a deadly assault against them. Many couldn't withstand the crushing force of his overwhelming aura, causing them to cough up blood on the spot.
When Scarlet knocked Hound unconscious and dragged him to Nolan's feet, all the Norbergs turned pale with fear.
Nolan looked down at Hound with eyes filled with an intense, unmistakable killing intent.
"Do you remember me?"
Hound lifted his head, his face contorted into a twisted grin as he stared at Nolan's icy expression. "How could I not? You're Nolan Greene. You were there, watching as I led my men to take Lense away. Hahaha.
"And you were also there, watching as brutally tortured him by ripping out every single one of his fingernails. I never thought you'd actually come, let alone bring someone this powerful. I, Hound, admit defeat."
With just one admission of defeat, it seemed Hound still hadn't fully grasped that his fate had already begun to change from this very moment.
