"Look methane! Oops sorry, Star Kenyon, daughter to Willam and Lisa Kenyon, you lost your parents when you were a child, and the reason you hate Elena, it's because she lied to the untimely death of your parents, I'm I lying?".

She wore an impressive look on her face, it gleamed conforming to my words.

" impressive Andres, so now we now have come to an understanding, can we finally get back at Elena khan?".

She pauses for my response.

"How should we get back at her?" I implored disdainfully.

"Elena khan will be celebrating her birthday today, so I suggest that we join forces and make sure, her birthday is memorable".

She explained.

The devilish smirk she had, got me to understand that she had something planned, but what exactly does she have up her sleeves.

" Tell me, what are you indicating that we do?". I tossed a question.

(Inaudible conversation)

Later hours of the day, it was time for the showdown at Elena's birthday party, I walked into the party floor and saw Riya there, she veers after blossoming an angry look at me.

"Mr. Salem"

Elena called me.

"Happy Birthday Ma'am!". I said with an innocent smile.

"How are you doing my son?" She asked.

"I am fine ma'am but today isn't about me, it's all for you, we all came to celebrate the beautiful Elena Khan".

I added.

My compliment spotted a smile on her face, she thanked me and went on to welcome other guests.

Trust me this would be fun.

While keeping an eye on Elena, someone else was also keeping a close watch on me, it seems anywhere I go, she follows me.

"Hello, Salem! May I have this dance?'.

Riya turned my attention, seems like no matter how hard I try to ignore her, she always finds a way of coming close to me.

I know that refusing Riya would be turning the happy smile she had on, into a sad one.

"Fine, let's go".

I said.

We walked to the dance floor, I pulled her close to me and she runs her hands on mine, after placing my other hand on her waist, for a girl who claims to be innocent, she knew what she was doing.

We danced alongside other guests there, Elena turned her eyes and saw us dancing, she wears a smile.

While we danced, methane signaled me from the audience, I attempted to pull my hands away rather than Riya withheld them.

" Riya, I have something urgent to do right now, please let go of me".

I begged her.

"No, I will not,"

She declined.

I know it will be impossible to reason with her right now, hopefully, when my warning comes to reality it won't be too late.

(Angerly walked out of the room)

I rushed back to the living room and saw the ambulance outside, they pushed Elena and drove away in a hurry, Riya turned back and saw me standing like a wand, she runs into my arms and wrapped herself in.

" Please, don't let anything happen to my mom, she's my parent" she pulls her eyes up to me, "nothing will happen to her right?".

She added.

I ran out of words, what can I say, Riya loves the same woman who took her happiness away and that of her son.

"She will be fine, your mom is a strong woman and I am certain nothing will happen to her".

I said.

As comforting as that might sound, I just hope the foolish mistake of methane doesn't get me exposed as well.

(At the hospital)

Riya and I scrambled into the hospital, the whole family members were there, waiting for the doctor's report, hours passed yet the doctor was still in, and an anxious Riya was this close to barging inside the emergence room, luckily the doctor decides to come and meet us.

" Doctor, how's my mom?"Riya walked closer.

The doctor soars his eyes around before proceeding with his statement, "your mom is fine, luckily she was brought to the hospital on time, if not we wouldn't have been able to save her".

A cloud of relived hovered around Riya, she buffed out a deep whiff, shooting a smile of gratitude to him.

I had no idea how methane found out that her plans languished because she rushed in like a paranoid chicken asking for clarification and when Riya repeated the doctor's statement to her, she veers back in shock.
