The Nanny Affair Series novel Chapter 17

37.

After several attempts to stop me from coming back to my birth city, I finally did.

Hi, I am Andres Khan alas Salem Baltimore, a tall, handsome, blue-eyed businessman who loved nothing but to see to it that my so-called mom, dies by my hands the same way she killed my family.

I stepped out of the airport, got into my car, and drove away.

While driving memories of when I was a kid flashed before my eyes, I also passed dad's and my favorite Ice cream parlor, before Sara, my loved nanny, come into my life.

"Will it be the same taste?"

I said, stepping out of the car.

I rode close, but when my eyes wandered away, a lady walks past me.

She looked just like my nanny, I went after her and pulled her close.

However, my curiosity came to an end when I ended up getting slapped in return for my emotions getting the better of me.

"How dare you hug me! Who are you".

The furious lady asked.

I had no idea who I was because I bear two identities, Andres Khan and Salem Baltimore, but she need not know that, I told her what she needs to hear.

"Sorry, I thought you were someone I know and my name is Salem Baltimore".

I replied.

The furious glare in her eyes washed away when I introduced myself, it is crazy to think that my nanny would still be alive.

I whirled but she held me back.

"You're just leaving, you don't even know my name?". She answered.

On a scale of one to five, her name wasn't slightly needed but as a gentleman, I had no choice but to ask.

"What's your name?"

I grinned

"My name is Riya Khan, daughter of Elena Khan".

She gets delighted.

I saw how much she boasted about her family, it's cute because I was once like her.

It cannot be the same woman, can it?".

After her introduction, I finally stop at the place I once called home a long time ago, the Khan's mansion.

I swiftly approached the front door, recollecting my life there.

"Mr. Salem Baltimore"

A voice let out to me the moment I rode inside.

I turned and there she was, the same woman who gave me life and yet decided to take it away.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Elena".

I said drifting my eyes downwards.

she approached me with a smile.

" Welcome dear, I have been waiting for you! I hear you studied accounting in the university, Mr. Shane has said so much about you".

Elena conveyed.

I know it's crazy to work for the same woman who tarred her hands in blood, but what choice do I have, I needed to infiltrate and this was the only possible way for me, by pretending to be a loyal manager to my own father's company.

"Yes ma'am, I did study accountancy and I am ready to serve you, always".

I gave a speech of loyalty.

Riya was like, her mom, which is Elena, told her that my dad had died because he tried to steal from her.

.

How many lies has Elena told her?.

She continued to bad mouth, my dad, I kept quiet but couldn't anymore, the moment she called him a gigolo.

"Enough Riya, don't talk about the dead okay, have some respect and if you don't know anything, why don't you shut up".

I yelled out my frustrations at her.

"Salem, are you okay and why are you getting defensive about people you don't even know and don't you dare talk to me this way, I am your boss's daughter and my mom won't lie to me okay".

She gets back with a shout.

Urgh, defensive again about the same person, if only Riya could see that the woman whom she loves so much, is a devilish witch, I believe it will bring her back to her senses.

I bottled up my anger and apologize, Riya shouldn't be blamed because she follows the rules and regulations of the one she calls mom, someday her blindfolds will fall and she will know who Elena Khan truly is.

"Excuse me"

I ambled out of the room as she watched me leave in a pissed-off attitude.

I walked down the stairs and hit a young lady, "hey look where are going too?". She angrily pushed me back, lifting my eyes to her.

I was not in the mood to banter words, I looked away leaving her in debris.

I walked over to my car and rested my back on it, Riya's comment harmed my thoughts.

However, if that wasn't enough, a man almost ran me over with his car.

The car screeches over in my direction).

I stood my ground and watched as he walked out of the car finally taking notice of me.
