Chapter 76
Shadow?
To my suprise, the violinist was not other than the mysterious motorbe jury win called himself Shadow
hazted at hing taken aback.
He had always seemed so wild and untamed, the type of person und associate with loud engines and porkder speed
To see
see him standing there, cradling a violin with such tenderness, was a stark contrast,
“Yesate the one playing?” I asked, still trying to tell the image in my mind.
It looked up, clearly startled by my sudden appratnice,
“Yeah” he replied, his voice as cool and detached as ever.
“I didn’t expect to see you here,” I aduated. “Lalways thought you were more into well, motorcycles and things like that.
Shadow shrugged, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips
“I am. But I’m the une who rents this plane room, just like you.”
“I didn’t know that,” I said, feeling a little foolish.
Tizabeth, by the way.”
His reaction to my name was immediate and intense
His eyes widened, and for a moment, he seemed genuinely shocked.
“Elizabeth? As in Elizabeth Leo’s Lana?”
I nodded, surprised by his strong reaction
“Yes, that’s me.”
He looked as though he was struggling to process this information,
“I didn’t expect that,” he finally said, his voice quieter now,
But just as quickly as his surprise had appeared, it vanished, replaced by his usual loot demeffor
He turned away, fiddling with his violin
I decided not to push the matter further. Instead, I asked, “What piece were you just playing?”
Shadow hesitated, his fingers tightening around the violin’s neck
“I don’t really know,” he admitted,
“I heard someone playing it in the school’s plans room a long time ago. I remembered a part of it, so I’ve been trying to recreate ir, but something’s missing.”
“Do you like the piece?
I inquired, curious about what had drawn hom to it.
He nodded, his eyes distant as he recalled the memory.
Yeah, I do. There’s a sadness in in that really got to me. But that day. I was called inway before I could hear the whole thing I’ve been coming here at the same time ever since, hoping to hear it again, but I never have.”
The Luna Marked with lies. The Queen Crowned by Rowenge
“Maybe 1 can help.” I suggested, freling a sudden surge of determination
Shadow locked.
“Help? How?
skeptically
“Meet me here tomorrow, same time, and E’ll shing you”
I plan to go home as soon as possible, find the complete scare of the piece I composed back then, and give it to him the next day.
Going downstairs, I saw a black limousine pull up in front of the door and Leo’s familiar figure came into view.
When he saw me, has expression softened slightly, though I could still detect the undercurrent of tension that never seemed to leave him
I didn’t want to pull this nose with him every day, so I agreed.
