The Luna Marked with Lies The Queen Crowned novel Chapter 38

I rushed to Emma’s house.

Emma took one look at my swollen eyes and torn lips, and without a word, she wrapped her arms around me. We fell asleep that way, holding each other through the night.

The next day, I hurriedly packed my belongings at Leo’s place while he was at work.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed a lot of my instruments sitting in the living room. Not only the piano, but also the flute and guitar that I had brough with me to play, which were piled up in a way that didn’t fit in with the whole room.

Some people, some things, were not meant to belong here.

On the table sat yesterday’s “Endless Summer,” now placed in a vase by Leo as if trying to preserve something already broken.
