Natalie stepped forward and reached out to gently touch the wedding dress she had designed. From the initial sketch to the final product, she had completed the entire wedding dress on her own.
After comparing various materials, she finally decided on organza, a lightweight fabric. She even selected the color personally. The light gray wedding dress was adorned with countless delicate diamonds, each resembling the twinkling stars in the night sky.
The upper bodice had a V-neckline, but the diamonds along the neckline weren't the same as those on the lower part of the dress.
The waist area was cinched with larger diamonds compared to those on the skirt. The contrast highlighted the bride's waist, making it look more slender.
The skirt had a total of eight layers, but it didn't seem heavy or cumbersome. Instead, the lightweight fabric made the hem of the dress flow seamlessly and reflect beautifully under the lights.
Natalie had named the wedding dress Starry Brilliance. It represented the love that shone as brilliantly as the stars, filled with infinite romance and dreams. Lovers would embark on their journey together to start their wonderful love life.
She ran her fingers lightly over the fabric. Back then, the display of the wedding dress on the runway had drawn the attention of many wealthy young socialites immediately.
Many started bidding at exorbitant prices for the wedding dress. In the end, a mysterious socialite purchased it for 8.8 million dollars.
The same socialite became one of Nouvelle Zara's loyal patrons willing to spend a fortune. Every time Natalie released a new collection, the buyer would have someone purchase the clothes immediately.
It turned out that the mysterious socialite was Emma. She must have purchased the wedding dress in hopes of wearing it at her wedding with Marcus.
The knocks on the door pulled Natalie from her thoughts.
"Ms. Natalie," Gorge called, "Mrs. Walker asked me to invite you to check the party decorations."
Natalie turned to see him standing by the doorway. "I don't need to check. Mom can decorate as she pleases. I'm fine with anything."
"Understood, Ms. Natalie."
With that, Gorge turned to leave to avoid disturbing her any further.
Natalie walked a few rounds in Emma's walk-in closet but didn't find any useful clues. She turned to leave and headed upstairs to the fifth floor.
…
Olivia was sleeping in her room. Otherwise, she would usually be reading or watching a movie to make the most of the rare opportunity she had for a break. She had already informed Natalie that once the welcome party was over, they would head to Lincoln's entertainment company together to start work.
She remained completely unaware of the incident at Walker Manor. She had spent her time in the bedroom on the fifth floor, which had excellent soundproofing, and not once had she glanced out the window.
Natalie walked over to the bed and pinched Olivia's nose. Not long after, Olivia opened her eyes.
"Natalie, you're back." Olivia had slept enough, so she sat up and stretched lazily. "Your bed's really comfy. The way your biological parents treat you is so much better than the Langleys ever did."
"My welcome party will be happening soon."
"I know. It's the day after tomorrow!" Olivia giggled. "Don't worry. I've already prepared some presents for you."
"Grandpa Charles gave me presents too. Then Marcus gave me an evening gown, saying it was from Grandpa Charles, but I don't quite believe him," Natalie said.
Her gaze drifted to the two large boxes on the bedside table, where both contained evening gowns. Charles even gave her a diamond tiara.
She rolled up her pants next. "And here. Diana burned me with candles. You almost can't see the scars now."
"Nat." Olivia hugged Natalie as she recalled how Natalie suffered living with the Langley family. Olivia was dying to hurry over and murder Diana.
"Everything's fine now."
"But Diana left so many scars on you. You must have been in pain since you were just a child. Why didn't you tell Grace?" Olivia paused. "Whatever. She isn't any better. Telling her probably wouldn't have done much good."
"Yeah. Everything's fine now."
"Selena isn't a good person, either. She asked Victor to drug you so those beggars and homeless people could hurt you. I despise the Langleys."
"Let me show you something." Seeing how angry Olivia was, Natalie showed her a video on her phone. "My mother made Victor and his family climb Cedar Hill on their hands and feet for what they did to me. But she also gave him a project."
"How could Victor have done that to you? You even called him Dad for 20 years."
"I'm glad you were there back then," Natalie said, wrapping her arms around Olivia. "If you hadn't run your car into the Langley residence to buy me time, I might even have been…"
A chill ran down Olivia's spine as she recalled what had happened. She knew Victor and Diana mistreated Natalie, but she never expected Selena could be so cruel.
Natalie called Victor and Diana "Dad" and "Mom" for 20 years, yet they completely believed Selena's lies. They knocked Natalie out with some drugs before asking some terrible men to hurt her.
"The Langleys won't have it easy from now on. Besides, my parents are looking into the incident of me being switched at birth at the hospital. I have a feeling that things aren't as simple as they seem."

This one gets us readers asking for more! Excellent story, great twists......
Hope Grandpa Charles lives long enough to see Marcus and Nat's children, please. It will make him happy to see life is still worth living and that he didn't fail raising Marcus at least. Let him be happy at least in this aspect. Thanks...
Finished till 538....Waiting for more...
This really hurts. I am confused if Yvette sent a msg saying old love to Charles through Charlene. Why isnt it in her confession. Or did she actually set vivian up into sleeping with that man? And later blackmailed vivian with it till vivian commited suicide? Did Yvetty yhinks Charles would marry her after vivians death but he remained loyal. Hence her anger?...
Hope Nat can cure Marcus' mom. Looking forward to new updates. Thank you...
