“She’s not! I’ve searched everywhere, but she’s nowhere to be found!” Yasmin’s voice carried a hint of tears.

Bella forced herself to stay calm, softening her tone to soothe Yasmin’s emotions.

“Yasmin, earlier, you only told us that the kidnappers might’ve taken Carrie to the abandoned factory in the western suburbs. Now, tell me everything that happened. Who told you they took Carrie there?”

“Mr. Ralph and I had nearly caught up with the kidnappers. But the same assassin who took Carrie last time came out and blocked our way!”

“Him again?!” Bella felt her heart clench.

“I couldn’t beat him, so Mr. Ralph decided to hold him off while I went to rescue Young Madam!”
