Chapter 534: Did You Kill The Queen?

"It was a golden lotus, a lotus crafted from the divine power of a Deity. It always shined magically even in the darkness and made one aware of its divinity. That divine golden lotus had something hidden inside it, protecting it inside that divine barrier. What it was exactly that I do not know, but that something was said to be so powerful and from beyond this human realm. As if caught in the grip of sorrowful memories, Philip spoke with unfiltered emotion. "That witch... my daughter took pity on her in that desolate forest and brought her home, hoping to offer her a better life. Little did we know, she was not a poor girl but an evil witch. She had orchestrated everything to create a situations for my daughter into using that artefact. It was all planned from the very beginning."

"How?" Oriana inquired, her curiosity piqued.

Philip continued, recounting the intricate web of deceit. "The Queen of Griven, Helena, and your mother were close friends, with Ailwin treating Amaya like his own younger sister. As a queen, Helena was expected to produce an heir, a desire shared by every woman. Yet, with each conception, she failed to carry the child to term. Despite all efforts, the pattern persisted, pushing Helena towards the brink of despair and madness. Only Amaya, as her closest confidante, knew the extent of Helena’s anguish."

We don’t know how Helena got to know that the divine artifact could save her child, but she begged your mother to save that dying child in her womb. With that, what was hiding inside it, transferred into that dying child in Helena’s body. That gold flower lost its divinity as well and what was left behind was dried withered lotus."

’As expected, along with that Dragon’s soul, that divine power of lotus was also transferred to Alan’s body and is still protecting it. That’s why Arlan has both darkness and divine power. It proves their theory that the divine power is protecting the soul of Dragon.
