The carriages of the Ahren family were allowed to go ahead of them so they could be present at the wedding hall before the bride and the groom could arrive.
After a while they reached the wedding venue, the carriage stopped at the particular door of the grand hall. Before exiting the carriage, Lucian looked at Erin and gently wiped away the red lip colour that slightly spread along the corner of her lower lip when she was eating berries.
His actions made her feel like she was a little girl to take care of her like this, and he liked it. Maybe having a baby inside had turned her playful as well.
Once he made sure everything was fine, only then they stepped out of the carriage. The bride and groom were ready, their arrival was announced and the main door of the grand hall opened.
Lucian and Erin walked together as Lucian held her hand. All the guests watched the beautiful couple, praising and smiling at them.
The bride and the groom stood at the altar where the wedding master was present to carry out the ceremony.
The bride and the groom exchanged vows, rings and the wedding was concluded with the kiss.
The entire hall was filled with the loud claps, and everyone congratulated the Lord and Lady Rainaire.
The guests met the bride and the groom and offered them the various gifts they have brought.
Due to the cold, the wedding celebration was kept short as most of the guests were not used to the cold here, but the main reason was to not let Erin exhaust herself in her frail situation.
After the celebratory banquette, the wedding celebration was over as the sky had already started to turn dark. All the guests left while the bride and the groom headed towards the Rainier estate in the carriage.
They didn’t go to the main residence but instead headed to the other residence where Erin and Lucian spent their first night together. That place held the special meaning to them now, other than just being gifted by Lucian’s parents to him.
Tonight, that small and cozy residence was decorated beautifully to welcome their lord and lady. The few servants working there, welcomed them.
Lucian carried Erin in his arms upstairs to their chamber, which reminded Erin of that night when he did the same. A light blush covered her face.
After that night, they didn’t come to this place or didn’t do it again except kissing often and expressing their love for each other through few words and gentle actions.
As Lucian settled her on the floor, allowing her to stand, he held her closer and kissed her. It didn’t surprise Erin as she could already sense his intentions. She always loved the way he kissed her, sometimes so tender, sometimes so full of passion. Tonight, it’s the mix of both.
When he let her go, breathless, she spoke, "Lucian...maybe...it’s not a good idea..."
"I know," he whispered against her lips as he understood what she meant. She was at the beginning of her pregnancy, and it was not a good idea to be intimate, "I just wanted to kiss my beautiful wife."
