Chapter 332
It felt like an odd smell, one he had never smelled before. It was just a whiff. It was swallowed by the smell of smoke in the next second.
Paying it no mind, Adrien put out his cigarette and stood up. His expression was unchanged amidst the calls of “Sir” and compliments on his looks.
“Go ahead and take the phones,” said Adrien.
Then he walked into the tobacco and liquor store behind him, bought a bottle of mineral water, and continued to stand under the tree.
The phone in his pocket rang. Adrien took it out and glanced at it. It was from one of his men, telling him to go to the township government. They had arranged accommodation and would send some people to help them search together.
Adrien tilted his head and glanced at his car.
He couldn’t even get in his car with the crowd around.
The boys over there were chattering non–stop, very excited.
“Damn. I saw in the group chat that a Land Rover also came to Lakia Village. That’s so cool! Those people are dressed like bodyguards on TV.”
“Our small town sure is something now.”
“Not just that. A Land Rover also went to the east…”
Upon hearing what the boys said, Adrien narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.
He waved and called over a boy standing at the edge.
The boy pointed at himself and looked around uncertainly, then trotted over quickly after confirming he was called.
“Sir,” he called out naturally, but there was still a hint of restraint in his movements and tone. “You called me?”
Adrien held a mineral water bottle and stood under a tree, looking down at the boy.
He asked, “I heard you have a powerful drug here. Is that true?”
The boy remembered halfway through. When Adrien finished asking, he nodded excitedly. “Yes, it’s true.”
Those were the kinds of things that people like them who hung out on the streets knew about.
The boy was quick–witted. Thinking of the Land Rover behind him and the man before him who didn’t belong in a small place like this, he immediately guessed the man’s purpose.
“Sir, are you here for that medicine?”
Before Adrien could speak, the boy continued, “That medicine is amazing. Mikele’s grandma got better after taking it.”
“Who is Mikele?” asked Adrien.
The boy turned his head and shouted in the direction of the large group of boys surrounding the car, “Mikele, come here. The gentleman wants to talk to you.”
Adrien realized Mikele was a boy among them.

Chapter 332
The boy named Mikele ran over, a little nervous because he didn’t know why he was called.
“The gentleman also wants to buy that medicine. Tell him about your grandma.”
Upon seeing that, more and more boys gathered around, all talking at once.
The information they talked was jumbled, but some useful details could be gleaned by careful sorting.

There were more than twenty villages belonging to the town, scattered over a wide area. The farthest one was over 12 miles away from the town.
All the children in the villages had to go to only primary or junior high schools in town, so if anything happened to any family, the news would spread quickly as long as they told their classmates.
The group
Adrien chose was the most well–informed.
“There’s another one in next class to ours, whose family also bought the medicine, for only 140 dollars.”
“Yes, it’s Alfredo. His family lives in Riverfoot Village.”
“There is also one in Riverhead Village…”
Upon hearing the unfamiliar place names from them, Adrien interrupted them. He strode to the front of the car, took out a rolled–up map from inside, and brought a pen over.
The map was spread out directly on the hood of the car, showing a detailed map of Clearwater Town and more than twenty surrounding villages.
It was so detailed that in addition to the more than twenty administrative villages, even the natural villages were marked out, densely packed, probably three hundred of them.
There must have been more than 50,000 people. They would be like headless chickens running around aimlessly if they hadn’t made any plans before they came.
He let the boys speak slowly and drew a circle on the map for each place name they mentioned.
Finally, when they had finished telling him everything they knew, Adrien looked at the map again and found most of the locations were concentrated in a certain area.
He looked around the crowd and beckoned to Mikele.
Mikele squeezed in and stood beside him.
Adrien asked, “Did your grandma go and ask about the medicine herself, or did the seller come to her?”
“It was a man in our village. I should call him Uncle. He found my grandma and asked her if she wanted to buy medicine. He said his daughter benefited from the medicine, so my grandma bought it,” said Mikele.
Adrien has a general idea. He put away the map, patted Mikele on the shoulder, and called him to get in the car.
“Let’s go. Take me to your house,” said Adrien.
Mikele was a little flattered. Adrien had gotten in the car, but he was still standing before the car door, hesitating.
The boys next to him were chattering.
“You are so lucky, Mikele. The gentleman is taking you for a ride.”
“Get in the car. Don’t dawdle.”

That’s right. You don’t know how lucky you are.”
After Mikele got in the car, they watched it drive away and started to feel jealous again.
No one spoke in the car. The atmosphere was somewhat quiet. Mike looked around excitedly, unable to restrain his excitement. He looked at Adrien driving next to him.
Sir, is this a Range Rover?” asked Mikele.
Adrien held the steering wheel and looked at the road, humming without squinting.
Mikele’s exclamation came from the side again, “Wow, it’s expensive. I’ve never been in such an expensive car in my life.”
Upon hearing that, Adrien smiled but still didn’t turn his head. “How come you haven’t been in one? High–speed rail or subway, none of them are cheaper than this.”
Mikele carefully pulled on his seat belt and shook his head. “Sir, I haven’t taken any of those you mentioned.”
Adrien turned his head and glanced at him. Mikele’s eyes were round and bright when he smiled.
He had been taught a lesson. He had been a little out of touch.
After leaving town, the road narrowed a little. Adrien concentrated on driving. Mikele, beside him, took out his mobile phone and carefully asked if he could take a selfie.
After getting permission, Mikele happily held up his phone and took a few pictures of himself from various angles.
After his excitement subsided, Mikele turned his attention to Adrien driving next to him.
He put his phone in his pocket, carefully leaned closer, stared at Adrien’s profile, and asked gossipily, “Sir, you’re so handsome. Do you have a wife?”
Perhaps he had sensed Adrien’s good temper along the way and had become a little bolder.
Adrien smiled. “Not yet.”
“You’re lying. You must have.”
“How can such a handsome man, driving a Range Rover, not have a wife?‘ thought Mikele.
His gaze drifted downward, finally settling on Adrien’s hands gripping the steering wheel.
His hands were slightly smoother than his, and a plain ring adorned his well–defined knuckles.
Mikele was even more certain that Adrien was lying to him.
Mikele was a sensible and understanding boy. He thought since Adrien didn’t want to talk about it, he didn’t expose him but instead asked another question.
“By the way, sir, who are you buying medicine for?”
Adrien paused and said, “My sister.”
