Damon still had about half an hour left before the meeting time, and he already had plans for that half an hour. He needed to make some preparations before heading to the special hidden dungeon, or at least that’s what he thought it was.
In his last life, Damon hadn’t encountered mechs all that much, but there was one cardinal rule when dealing with these things.
Never fight a mech unprepared.
That was the rule. One Damon had learned the hard way, watching a proud guild get obliterated in under thirty seconds by a single mid-tier combat drone during a world event. Unlike beasts or undead or even elemental spirits, mechs didn’t care about fear, intimidation, or death. They were precision, speed, and death wrapped in alloys and cold logic.
Also, don’t go to a mech fight without a lightning element mage.
Right now, there wasn’t one in their group, but that can easily change. Damon thought about it a lot. He would love to continue his image of being a rogue vampire, but it would severely limit his fighting power. Truth would sooner or later come out. Instead, he decided to push his new image as a mage vampire.
He could come out as a tetra mage who can use shadow, blood, fire, and lightning. This would make him exceptional, but not so much that he would become a threat to the super tens. It would also easily explain his overpowered attack style.
Damon took the teleportation portal to Twin Thunder City and then sped up towards the Stormspire dungeon. The dungeon portal was located fairly close to the city, so there were plenty of players surrounding the portal.
Damon had already activated Stealth, so he was able to easily enter the dungeon portal without much attention. Personally, he did not mind farming for some PVP kills and easy skill upgrades, but he was on a tight schedule today.
He couldn’t afford to waste time here. The sooner he cleared that dungeon and figured out what his world boss quest could end in, the sooner he could get back and conquer that black pool. He could simply ignore the world boss quest, but he did not want to give up on a power-up lead, especially when everything was coming together nicely.
As he mulled over the plans, Damon smashed through the dungeon casually. It was a level 30 dungeon, and his current level was 45, not to mention his stats were similar to those of a level 100 player.

The dungeon was a mixed-type dungeon with storm toads, lightning elementals, and storm weavers patrolling thundercloud-wreathed halls. All of them were pretty easy to take down, and the whole dungeon was cleared in a few minutes.
