Gideon laughed in embarrassment.
Looking at Lizzy, Nell then asked with care, “How are you doing in China? Are you behaving yourself?”
Lizzy nodded seriously and she answered with a soft voice, “We miss Mommy. When are you coming back?”
Nell’s heart melted just by looking at her disappointed and misty eyes.
She quickly comforted her. “Daddy and Mommy will be back tomorrow. You two be good, don’t be naughty and don’t make your grandparents angry. Understand?”
Lizzy nodded heavily again.
This time, Little Viemond appeared with his cute face and glowing black eyes.
He held a robot in his hands too and showed it to Nell.
“Mommy, look. I built this robot. I’ll give it to you when you come back.”
Nell looked at him. Viemond might have inherited Gideon’s high intelligence, and although he was merely five years old, he could accomplish many things by himself, including designing robots.
Little Viemond was very interested and talented in this field. Sometimes, the things that he built even made the adults feel ashamed of themselves.
Nell looked at her children and felt contended.
She talked to them for a while before she hung up.
Knowing that Lizzy had called her, Sean and Cathy smiled and asked Nell about her kids after she hung up on the call.
Nell answered them slowly, and the family happily drank until midnight.
Gideon had drunk a lot tonight, so he was tipsy when he returned to his room.
However, he still remembered that Nell was pregnant, so he held himself back and dared not touch her.
Once they got back to their room, Nell urged him to take a shower because she disliked the smell of alcohol on his body.
Nell called Vickie after Gideon went to the bathroom.
Vickie and the others left in the evening, and by this time, they had arrived in Lin City.
After making sure that they were safe, Nell cheered Vickie up before she hung up the phone.
Nell was a little tired after a busy day.
So she lay on her bed and dozed off after the call.
At some point, the bathroom door opened all of a sudden.
Gideon came out from the bathroom as he was done showering and saw Nell curled up on the bed, asleep.
He could not help but laugh.
Gideon had initially wanted to talk about the past with her tonight, but now it seemed unnecessary.
Gideon walked to her side and kissed her forehead, then he went to bed and slept with her.
The next morning, Nell and Gideon boarded the plane that was returning to China.
Long ago, Cathy and Sean had decided to go back with them.
However, something happened in between and a lot of things were delayed.
Sean still had some unfinished businesses to settle, so it would take some time.
Originally, Cathy planned to go back with them, but because of everything that happened, she felt the need to cherish the moment with her loved one.
Thus, she decided not to leave early and would wait for Sean to finish his things. They would leave for China together later on.
When Gideon and Nell found out about it, they did not force them.
After all, not just Sean and Cathy had this awareness, but Gideon and Nell as well.
Hence, they personally sent off Gideon and Nell that day.
The flight duration was more than seven hours.
By the time they arrived at the capital, it was evening.
Nell let go of her kids’ hands and walked toward her.
Once she sat beside Old Madam Quinton, the Old Madam held Nell’s hand and said, “Did it scare you? Are the babies alright?”
Nell did not want Old Madam Quinton to worry, so she smiled and answered, “I’m fine. Although there’re symptoms of miscarriage, I’ve recovered after some treatments.”
Old Madam Quinton nodded worriedly.
“Regarding Gideon’s identity, we did not tell you earlier because we were worried that you’d overthink. Will you put the blame on us?”
Nell remained quiet for a moment.
At this moment, Gideon and a few servants were done with their luggage and his face sank when he heard her words.
“Grandma, what did you say to Nelly?”
Old Madam Quinton raised her head and glanced at him angrily.
Old Madam Quinton’s words turned Gideon’s face dark.
Unable to hold it in, Nell burst out laughing.
This laughter of hers immediately relieved the tense atmosphere.
She smiled softly and uttered, “Grandma, Gideon knows that you two worried about him. He feels guilty too, so don’t scold him anymore.”
Old Master Quinton teased them loudly.
“You see. I pitied you just a second ago, but now, you’re speaking for him. You two are really heartless.”
Although she said they were heartless, Old Madam Quinton could not help but smile.
Obviously, she knew that Nell’s smile meant that Nell did not mind what was hidden from her.
Gideon breathed a sigh of relief.
