"Dear, have you packed everything?"
Gael shook his head helplessly listening to the umpteenth time his mother asked that.
"Mom, everything is packed. Including your wonderful gifts for Diamond," he responded to his mother with a defeated smile on his face.
When his mother heard that, she smiled with relief before instructing the servants to have the bags packed up and sent to the awaiting car.
Moments later, the car left the house and on the way to the airport, Gael’s ears nearly had calluses in them as his mother spoke non-stop.
"Dear, you are not allowed to mess this up. I doubt that you will ever find someone like Diamond in this life. So, make your mama proud, okay?"
"She is a good girl. When you don’t understand, either ask or just go ahead with whatever she says."
"Don’t be too jealous. What if you get disqualified?"
Gael listened attentively to his mother’s lecture without feeling irritated. He could tell that she was very concerned about him and that made him feel warmhearted.
He also understood where his mother was coming from. While others might find their mother’s interference a bit too much, he didn’t think like that. Especially after that love disaster that nearly destroyed him.
As children, they might think that their parents are overdoing it. At times, they would just be too concerned about the children and doing their best to protect them. That’s why in his case, after his mother talked about Diamond. Though he was reluctant at first, he decided to have a chat with her and see how it went.
After all, it was still shocking that his mother wanted him to be with someone who would have multiple partners in the future.
Perhaps his mother’s brainwashing worked, or it was how he felt so good when talking to Diamond. Either way, as long as he takes the number one spot, he wouldn’t care less about who comes after.
After an hour or so drive, they reached the airport and his mother was very happy to send him off.
Three hours later, Gael took a deep breath as he walked out of the terminal, his bags in hand as he looked around.
The flight was a beautiful one. It was unfortunate that she didn’t come to pick him up directly inside. However, the voice in his ear was very helpful.
[If you are outside, turn to your left and walk to parking lot D.]
"Um, I can see the place already," he responded softly as he turned in that direction, a smile on his face.
Due to many reasons, Diamond couldn’t exactly come and pick him up after his arrival. So, she called and started instructing him on how to move around to reach where she was.
Although it was a pity that he couldn’t see her as soon as he walked out, listening to her voice quenched that thirst as well.
After walking for a while, he spotted the car that Diamond was talking about and a wry smile appeared on his face as he thought, ’I will be the one at loss if I don’t get her!’ also recalling how much emphasis his mother put on this matter.
He recognized that car. It was worth around A$4 million. A good amount that many people couldn’t even afford and yet from what he heard from his mother, she had a collection of cars.
Gael was rich. He was better than other people out there but when comparing to Diamond, he was a toddler. Such a rich lady, it wouldn’t be her begging for love but him and other men doing so.
As he approached the car, the boot automatically opened, and his smile widened. f.(r)eewe/bnov\ll.com
He gently placed all the bags inside before closing the boot. Once he was done, he walked to the passenger’s side and the window automatically rolled revealing the beautiful fairy who was sitting in the driver’s seat, a grin on her face.
’Wow! She is pretty!’ he stunningly looked at her, amazement on his face after seeing that deity-given face that he always fantasized about.
"Dear, get in!" her voice sounded, jolting him out of his fantasy.
He smiled shyly at her, thinking about what he had done and opened the door before sliding inside.
Once he was seated, he looked at her without evading her gaze and said, "Hello dear!" his voice baritone voice which made Diamond feel itchy and wanted to scratch him like a kitten.
Diamond grinned at him, as she scanned his face, admiring how handsome he was despite the glasses he was wearing.
She leaned in with a playful mirth in her eyes and whispered a response, "Gael. It’s a pleasure to meet you. You look darn handsome!"
Gael’s eyes lit up at hearing that response and responded, "You are very beautiful, dear. I am happy to meet you finally in person!"
Diamond squinted her eyes when she heard that. Her eyes nearly sunk while smiling and happily said as she leaned outward. "I am glad I didn’t disappoint!"
