Chapter 125
Lydia knew exactly which surveillance footage Bob was referring to. When those old geezers drove her out of that dump of a neighborhood, she’d already spotted the surveillance camera by the roadside.
Lydia didn’t want that surveillance footage to tarnish her perfect image, so she planned to destroy it. But of all times, that bastard just had to pick that exact moment to kidnap her.
Lydia thought that surveillance footage shouldn’t have exposed anything against her, so she let out a small sigh of relief.
Unbeknownst to Lydia, the subtle curve at the corner of her lips didn’t escape Bob’s keen eye. Bob studied Lydia thoughtfully for a moment, and then glanced at the oblivious Bennett Family members beside her.
What’s so funny, Ms. Bennett? Bob’s remark instantly made everyone’s gaze snap at Lydia, startling her so much that her carefully composed expression almost slipped.
Lydia stammered, “I-I just got a little excited when I heard there’s finally a lead.” Lydia put on a terrified look and dramatically shrank behind Lucas, as if Bob had just threatened her.
Lucas protectively pulled Lydia behind him, giving Bob a guarded look. “Bob, stop scaring her. She’s still shaken from the kidnapping.”

Having weathered countless storms alongside Charles over the years, Bob’s intimidating presence was truly more than most people could bear. Lucas, a racing enthusiast with no real business acumen, instinctively recoiled under such an intimidating presence.
The next moment, Andrew stepped forward to shield Lucas. With a serious expression, Andrew met Bob’s gaze. “Bob,” he said firmly, “Lydia is pure-hearted. You shouldn’t suspect her.”
Having watched Andrew, the Bennett Family heir, grow up, Bob knew the young man possessed a commanding presence. Yet, the commanding presence Bob had once admired in Andrew now struck him as utterly ridiculous.
Bob shot back, “So I shouldn’t doubt her, but it’s perfectly fine for you to suspect Emily, who’s grown up with you all these years?”
In that instant, it finally dawned on Bob why Emily had been so distant toward the Bennett Family since her return. He watched Lydia, still hiding behind Lucas and playing the victim.
A shrewd glint flashed in his clouded eyes. “Ms. Bennett, I hope you know what you’re doing from now on. I’m just
