Chapter84
He just wanted Adelaide to be like she used to, always happily following behind him, calling him brother.
After it was known that she wasn’t their biological child, a
barrier appeared between them that couldn’t be crossed.
She still respected him as her brother as always, but the feeling from childhood was completely gone.
The brief silence inside the car was interrupted, the bodyguard nervously said, “Mr. Pierce, Reginald’s car is following us.”
Adelaide and Spencer both looked in the rearview mirror
almost at the same time. Adelaide was calm, but Spencer looked
annoyed.
Reginald was more murderous towards Spencer than towards
Garrett, he turned his face and asked unwillingly, “Adele, have
you really become Reginald’s person?”
“What kind of person do you want to talk about?” Adelaide’s
words undoubtedly angered him.
“I cut ties with him, don’t make me repeat this again.”
“Go! Dream!”

The atmosphere was tense again, with everyone on edge, until the car suddenly swerved from side to side. This unexpected jolt
caused Adelaide to hit her forehead hard against the window.
“Adele!” Spencer exclaimed, “How did you drive here!” he
shouted angrily at the bodyguard.
“It’s the car behind us,” the bodyguard gripped the steering
wheel tightly, his voice tense.
Spencer’s face was half in shadow, half in light, with a chill on it. Soon, he made a phone call, “Block the car behind at all costs.”
Adelaide, who was already feeling dizzy, heard this and angrily
exclaimed, “Offend Reginald, are you crazy?”
Spencer’s stern expression softened, with a hint of a smile at the
corner of his mouth, “Are you worried about me, Adele?”
Adelaide really wanted to curse him for being shameless,
“You’re overthinking it. If you hurt Reginald, I’m afraid I’ll be dragged into trouble and become a thorn in the Thorton
family’s side!”
“No, I won’t let anything happen to you,” Spencer said tenderly.
Seeing him like that, Adelaide just felt a chill and couldn’t be bothered to talk anymore. She turned her head to look out the car window. Réginald’s car was already out of sight behind them, and she couldn’t help but feel a little anxious.

There shouldn’t be any problem.
In the end, Adelaide found out she didn’t go to the Pierce’s place,
but to a place she had never been before.
Where am I?!
“This is the house I bought, no one knows, you are the first.”
Adelaide shivered again, “I didn’t want to know.””
“The homeowner, I wrote your name.”
Adelaide rolled her eyes and said, “I don’t need it.”
“But I wanted to give you all my stuff.”
She responded to him again, saying, She’s crazy.
Got off the car, Adelaide didn’t want him to touch her, so she
walked in on her own. Spencer smirked, feeling much better.
