Chapter45
Upon hearing this, Teresa exclamied happily, “Business trip is
great! I bet the Pierce family will definitely bother you these
days. Going on a business trip is like escaping from them.”
Adelaide was thinking the same way, she really hadn’t been
dealing with them these days, just wanted some peace and
quiet.
Teresa encouraged, “Just relax and shake off the bad luck.”
Adelaide started to worry again, “What if they find you?”
“Don’t worry, I got this. If they really mess with me, I’ll just
invite them to the police station for a cup of tea.”
With Teresa’s comfort, Adelaide felt a lot better.
When she came out of the shower, her bank account had an
extra twenty million, along with a message from Cornelius.
“Adele, this twenty million is compensation from the Barnard
family, you should take it. As for that guy, even though he has
run away, I promise you, once the cooling–off period is over, I
will catch him and take him to the courthouse.”
Adelaide sadly turned down the corners of her mouth.
Chapter45
She kept saying on the phone that he was childish, but isn’t running away like that also childish behavior?
Adelaide knew the Barnard family would come and get him, so
he didn’t really care about it.
She said Thank you, Sir Barnard and then put her phone on
silent before going to bed.
The next day.
Adelaide packed her bags early, Nathan told her to come
straight to Rosecliff Manor, and they went to the airport
together. She dragged her suitcase over there and from a
distance she saw Draven and Nathan standing outside.
And the ugly look on their faces.
She walked up and couldn’t help but ask curiously, “Draven, Mr.
Hurst, good morning, what’s going on?”
They didn’t say anything, looking a bit awkward.
Seeing this, Adelaide realized something and smiled, waving her hand, “I was just asking casually, didn’t really want to know!”
Draven shook his head, “It’s nothing, just…”
Chapter45
“What are you all doing here?” Reginald suddenly appeared,
Draven immediately fell silent, and even gave Adelaide a
discreet wink.
Adelaide nodded slightly, pretending to be nonchalant.
But soon she was drawn to Reginald’s appearance.
The man was wearing a dark gray coat, and as he walked down, the hem of his coat swayed gently, revealing his narrow waist. His light–colored shirt was unbuttoned at the top, showing a
hint of his chest muscles.
He was like a walking hormone.
Reginald stopped in front of her, a faint scent of incense wafting
into her nostrils.
