Chapter189
The man’s dark eyes dropped, and he locked eyes with her for two seconds. Then, he wrapped Adelaide tightly with his right
arm, snatched the short sword with his left hand, and kicked
Amanda at the same time.
Amanda screamed and fell into the water.
“Help, help me Garrett.”
Adelaide saw the bright red blood.
She took two quick breaths, without thinking she covered
Reginald’s left hand, “Reginald, you’re bleeding!”
“No problem,” Reginald’s voice was deep and hoarse, but his
reassurance was indeed gentle.
Garrett didn’t care about Amanda struggling in the water, he
just kept walking towards us like crazy. “Adele, are you okay?”
Reginald saw him and he was all aggressive, his left foot swiped
out from the water, kicking him in the chest, and sending him
into the water as well.
Adelaide didn’t care about those two, she just worriedly looked
at Reginald’s bleeding left hand. “Reginald, you need to go to the

hospital!”
“Don’t rush,” said Reginald as he wrapped his right arm around her waist, pinched her chin, and asked her to look up. “Today is the last day of the cooling–off period. Whether to go back now or not, it’s up to you to decide.”
Cooling–off period?
Yes, she almost forgot about this.
She then gave a glance to Garrett, who was already under
Reginald’s control, “Go, go back to Evercrest right away!”
An hour later, they boarded the plane.
Reginald missed the train.
As soon as the plane landed, Adelaide wasted no time and called
Teresa to go back to the Sterling Estates to get the documents,
then she called Cornelius, and finally Finley.
Under Adelaide’s insistence, Reginald went to the hospital to
have his wound treated again, and Nathan took her to the
courthouse.
When they arrived, Cornelius and Evelyn were already waiting
at the courthouse entrance.
Chapter 189
“Sir Barnard, Madam Barnard.”
Adelaide didn’t do anything to her injuries, she just wanted to show them on purpose.
Sure enough, after Cornelius saw it, he didn’t say anything, walked up to Garrett, and openly slapped him twice.
“You idiot! Were you born without a brain? How dare you do
such a thing! Do you think Adele is still legally married to you,
so you can just take her away like this?”
Garrett’s body shook twice, weakly and helplessly turning his
face to look at Adelaide.
“Look at that!” Cornelius really wanted to give him a slap.
“Sir Barnard, there are too many people coming in and out here,
let’s forget it,” Adelaide called out to him, “the courthouse is
about to close, why don’t we get our documents sorted out
first?”
Cornelius faced Adelaide with a kind expression, “Okay, sorry
