Adelaide saw Reginald’s dark, bottomless eyes and couldn’t help
but feel a little scared. She picked up the unopened beer and
placed it in front of him, saying, “Mr. Thorton, want a beer?”
Reginald rubbed the edge of the beer bottle with his fingers,
“Wanna drink with me?”
That’s not it.
I can’t just say “I want to eat alone, please go home and sleep.”
Adelaide kept it in her heart, with a flawless smile on her face:
“It wouldn’t be right if I’m the only one drinking.”
“Look at your face. It says ‘You better not want to drink, you

Spencer glanced over and saw the greasy and spicy dishes,
frowned and said, “Why are you, a girl, eating this unhealthy
