Chapter 1060: Deadly Pneumonia
Gu Zi pulled into the driveway.
Grandma Gao took Gao Ming home.
Gu Zi and Su Shen stepped into the house, while Su Li lingered outside, claiming he wanted to play in the yard. In reality, he simply stood there for a long time, staring absentmindedly at the vacant house diagonally across the street, lost in thought.
From the second-floor balcony, Gu Zi observed him in silence. It was rare to see Su Li so melancholic. Was it because he had visited Xu Sheng at the hospital?
Turning to Su Shen, she mused, “You’re not going out today, are you? How about a family picnic later?”
Su Shen had changed into a casual dark ensemble and walked over to her, effortlessly pulling her into his embrace. His lips brushed against her ear as he murmured, “Mmm, whatever you say.”
With that, his hand lifted her chin, and he claimed her lips in a kiss—deep, possessive, demanding. His tongue pried past her lips, entwining with hers, teasing, tasting.
Gu Zi felt a tingling numbness at the base of her tongue, but that discomfort was soon drowned out by a surge of sensation. Her breath hitched as she felt the unmistakable hardness pressing against her, rubbing insistently against her inner thigh, sending a rush of heat pooling at her core.
His voice, husky with restraint, rasped against her lips, “Tonight, let’s do it.”
His hand, still warm from the heat of her skin, slid under the smooth fabric of her camisole, closing around her steadily fuller curves. Rough fingertips toyed with her stiffening peaks, and his kisses grew more fervent, more consuming.
Lips and teeth tangled in a dance of passion. Gu Zi’s slender arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, her body arching forward to meet him.
Su Shen tensed, emboldened by her response. His lips trailed downward, marking her collarbone and her soft curves, branding her with faint imprints of his desire.
By the time Gu Zi felt as if her thighs might chafe from the friction, his scorching release splashed onto her stomach.
Su Shen exhaled, got up, and fetched a warm towel to clean her up before gathering her into his arms. “Rest a little,” he murmured. “I’ll go prepare the picnic.”
