Charlotte this time decided to meet her sworn enemy alone in the middle of the night. At first, she waited for the night to fall and then called for her omega friend, Lucinda.

Lucinda entered her room and bowed at her Luna, "Yes, Luna?"

"Did you remember what to do, Lucinda? I need no disturbance I am telling you. This is very important for me." She warned her.

Lucinda nodded her head firmly, "Don't worry, Luna. I am on it. Exactly five minutes later, you will go out, okay?"

"Hmm." Charlotte nodded.

With another bow at her Luna, Lucinda, slowly came out of the room. She immediately walked toward Gavin, who is always guarding Charlotte like a shadow. He is the main barrier for her Luna to go out freely.

She lowered her head and acted to walk past him when suddenly, she trembled and fall to the ground just before him.

Gavin watched her. He was slightly confused and bent down beside her. "Hey, what's wrong with you? Are you alright?" He called for her and helped her stand up on her feet.

Lucinda holds her head with one hand and holds his arm with the other one. She closed her eyes and frowned.

"I... I don't know... My head is just... Spinning." She groaned, leaning into his arms.

Gavin felt stiffened. He never gets so close to any woman like this. He only touched the hand of his mate that also five years ago but then in a rouge attack, she died. This is the first time, he is being so close to a woman!

Lucinda felt his uneasiness and took the chance, leaning onto him more. "I..." She hissed in pain. "Can you please send me to my dorm?" She slowly begged.

"I..." Gavin fell in dubiousness. He is ordered to not leave Luna alone for a second and here this woman needs help!

He turned his gaze to Luna's door and seeing that, Lucinda acted more anxiously. "AAH..." She fell more to his chest this time and Gavin caught her hurriedly.

"Won't you help me, sir?" Lucinda blinked her eyes at him, trying to convince him.

Gavin was trapped in those brown eyes of the woman in his arms. He froze and only stared into those soft brown eyes.

He nodded his head. "Come, I will take you to your dorm." He agreed to go with her and helped her walk forward.

Lucinda turned her head to Luna's door secretly and gave a thumbs up, avoiding Gavin's eyes.

All the while, Charlotte was watching the scene, hiding behind the huge double door of her bedroom.

She covered her mouth, trying to hold her laugh. 'This girl definitely turned bolder with time!' She praised Lucinda in her mind.

'Yeah, the effect of living with her cunning Luna.' Sierra winked. 'Now, hurry up!' She urged her to hurry before they get caught.

Soon, she came out of the mansion, avoiding Gavin's eyes. Though she might get caught in cameras, by the time Augustus would know, she would have done with her work.

Cautiously, Charlotte came into the dark forest with her heart beating loudly even for her own ears.

Adrian nodded, he felt a little strange but her could not think of anything else.

"So... Why did you do that at Carina's party, Adrian? Why did you synchronise your scent with Augustus's?" Charlotte finally asked, even though she knows the reason already.

Adrian froze on his feet. But, as cunning as he is, he immediately finally an excuse and stepped forward to Charlotte.

"Trust me, Charlotte. I never thought to do that to you. I always wanted to get you in my life. And for the past two years, we kept doing that, won't we? But for a few months, you changed and started spending more and more time with Augustus." He sounded so defeated, but Charlotte knows how much of a good actor he is.

"You both even mated! And that made me so furious and scared of losing you! And when I learned that, You are truly late with Augustus, I felt so depressed and disappointed. Immediately, I decided to bring you back to me without any more late and synch his scent with mine."
