CHARLOTTE...

'H.h... he trusts me! Fuck! He said he trust me! Sierra! He trusts me!'

My eye widened at his words, but he left and couldn't see the excitement and shock rolling inside me.

'Yeah, he does!' Sierra purred.

'I told you, he cares for us! He cares for you! And you only don't believe him!'

I lay down on the bed and smiled brightly. 'This is one of the best moments of my entire life! Sierra. I am feeling so relieved!'

'Yeah, me too.' She yawned largely. 'Now, go back to sleep. I am so tired. I hope you too.'

'Yeah.' I agreed and slowly, my eyelids turned heavy before I was pulled to a happy and sound sleep.

Now, with my mate's trust, life feels complete finally...

AUTHOUR'S POV ...

Unaware of the events and poisonous schemes, Charlotte fell asleep with a smile on her face, whereas some people are planning to ruin her happiness all along.

A few times ago, it was only Alice and Adrian who wanted to kill her but now, someone else joined them.

Carina Sanchez. She is a cousin of Charlotte from he father's side. She is Beta Mateo's mate.

A couple of years ago, before Charlotte used to like Adrian, she had a crush on Mateo. However, everything turned upside down when Carina became Mateo's mate.

And then only Adrian and Charlotte came close indeed the influence of Alice. When Alice gets to know that she is the crush of the Alpha king, Augustus, even before Charlotte was in a mate bond with him.

Augustus has always been so stubborn and never cared about the mate bond. He once or twice even said that he wouldn't care if Charlotte is his mate or not, he would only take her as his partner.

And that made Alice drugged Charlotte to suppress her wolf.

When the time came, Charlotte could not shift and everyone started loathing her. Augustus wasn't present there at that time but he was in the training that is must before taking the throne.

Alice took the chance to set up Adrian and Charlotte together and unaware of the reality, Charlotte stepped into the trap that cause her death once.

Now, it's the second time they are planning her death. And because the course of time has changed they are facing trouble to get a hold of Charlotte.

Still, they wouldn't stop hurting her at any cost...

Alice was sitting on the verandah of her house in a sour mood. Her mind is on Charlotte's recent behaviours toward her.

The girl who could not spend a single day without talking to her, now directly insulted her and asked her to stay away from her!

Because of her doubts, Adrian even investigated Charlotte, if she got aware of the truth, but they got nothing against her. Everything seemed so normal and unchanged.

Then why has her behaviour changed?

As she was sitting with her mind full of thoughts, one of her omega servants came running to her.

"Wh... what did you say?!"

Omega shivered in fear. She gulped, lowering her head more to her mistress.

"Miss Leighton's wolf has woken up." She murmured lowly, but clearly and that made Alice mad.

"NO!" She screamed and kicked the table hit the omega and she fell to the side, gasping in pain.

But, Alice did not care about that lowly creature's pain. She crouched down to her side and picked her up by the throat.

"Stop spreading false and unruly news to me! Got it!?" She thought the omega lied to her.

Omega almost fainted at the threat. The fear and coursed pain all over her body made her weak.

She cried and shook her head. "Omega Carla confirmed the news, mistress. I am not lying."

Alice stared at her blankly and finally dropped her on the floor. Alice took a few steps back. It's still hard to digest for her.

Two years of plans and schemes all just blown away like that? She could not take it and started laughing like a maniac.

She jumped on the fallen omega and picked her up by the collar once again, showing her fangs at her.

"I DID EVERYTHING TO GET AUGUSTUS! SHE THINKS SHE CAN TAKE HIM FROM ME JUST LIKE THAT!? HUH!? I WON'T LET IT HAPPEN!"

She throw her away once again as the omega gasped silently in pain.

"I WON'T LET IT HAPPEN! CHARLOTTE! I WILL NOT LET IT HAPPEN!" She shouted out her vows in the open night like an injured wolf.
