Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 472

“Hello, Young Master Burton. Are you here to see Xavia? She was just saying how happy she was to run into you! She wanted to greet you but did not know how. This is great! Xavia, why aren’t you talking to Young Master Burton?!”

Dolly spoke enthusiastically, pushing Xavia towards Zivon.

Xavia, on the other hand, was too embarrassed to speak. She had not wanted to see Zivon at all, let alone speak to him!

Why was her best friend like this?!

What should she say now that she was standing in front of Zivon? She did not want to say anything at all since she knew it would be hateful and upsetting either way.

Dolly had really put her in a tough spot.

Just as Xavia was facing a dilemma, Zivon’s cold voice rang out condescendingly: “Excuse me.”

His tone was commanding, and Xavia frowned in confusion.

What? She turned her head, and was shocked to see his limited-edition Maybach parked in the parking space right next to her.

So he was not here to see her, it was just that they were in his way!

Xavia and Dolly were both frozen in place, their faces turning red in embarrassment. They desperately wished they could find a hole to hide in right now!

The both of them only spoke after the car had driven away.

“Was I being too obvious just now?”

“What do you think?! Would we be feeling this embarrassed if it weren’t for you?”

“I had no idea that Young Master Burton only came here to get to his car! It’s really too much of a coincidence…”

“You’re working here? What are you working as? Are you delivering takeaways in Darlsbury?” Jenna sneered, her voice filled with barely concealed contempt.

Dolly pursed her lips in agitation. Xavia had already signed a contract with Dallas Entertainment and now had a promising future... a very, very promising future!

And what was wrong with delivering takeaways? It was a very noble cause!

However, before Dolly could say anything, Xavia said, “Well, the pay for being a takeaway delivery person in Darlsbury is several times more than in S City, so I thought it was a good job to take.”

“Pfft.” Sure enough, Jenna had guessed right. She narrowed her eyes at Xavia, “Didn’t you just receive a lot of money? Can’t you do anything else? Do you really have to stay in Darlsbury just to deliver takeaways? I will pay you twice your salary if you leave Darlsbury!”

Rich people always felt that they could use money to get their way and make people do whatever they wanted. They would always sound so high and mighty, as if everyone else was inferior—as if they were merely ants under their feet.

Xavia smiled faintly. Her clear eyes met Jenna’s sharp ones as she opened her mouth to speak.
