Chapter 155: The Truth Behind the DNA Tests
Chapter 155: The Truth Behind the DNA Tests
(God’s POV)
At the Crimson Rose Tavern, Marcus Blackwood sat across from Samuel Whitmore and Sandy Parker in the private dining room. The crystal chandelier cast warm light over the mahogany table laden with exquisite
dishes.
Sandy leaned forward with exaggerated charm, batting her eyelashes at Marcus. “Alpha Marcus, you’re so handsome tonight. That black suit makes you look incredibly powerful.”
Server Jake refilled their wine glasses, trying to hide his disgust at Sandy’s shameless flattery. The other servers exchanged knowing glances as they witnessed her inappropriate behavior.
“The moonlight wine pairs perfectly with your golden eyes,” Sandy continued breathlessly. “Don’t you think we make a beautiful couple?”
Samuel’s jaw tightened as he watched his supposed daughter’s display. “Sandy, young she–wolves should be
more reserved.”
Sandy giggled and touched her hair coquettishly. “But Father, I’m just being friendly. Isn’t my expression
adorable?”
Samuel could barely hide his revulsion. This crude behavior couldn’t possibly come from his and Dorothea’s bloodline. The doubt that had been gnawing at him grew stronger.
Marcus cut his venison with precise movements, his face expressionless. “Miss Parker, perhaps you should
focus on your meal.”
When Marcus mentioned establishing a branch company in Riverside City to be closer to his mate, Sandy’s
expression soured instantly.
“Your Luna wants to sever your mate bond anyway,” she said with bitter sarcasm. “She only cares about
money, not love.”
Samuel’s fork clattered against his plate. The rudeness was beyond acceptable limits.
Sandy pressed on recklessly. “You should repay my life–saving grace by marking me instead. I’d be a much
better Luna than that cold woman.”
Marcus’s golden eyes turned ice–cold. “You’re bringing your nightclub working habits into the Whitmore
family.”
The insult hit its mark. Sandy’s face flushed red with humiliation and rage.
Samuel stood abruptly, his Alpha authority filling the room. “Benjamin Hayes, take Sandy home immediately.”
“But Father-” Sandy protested.
“Now,” Samuel commanded with deadly finality.
After Sandy left with Benjamin Hayes, the atmosphere in the private dining room shifted dramatically.
Marcus leaned back in his chair, studying Samuel’s troubled expression.

“Samuel, is Sandy truly your daughter?” Marcus asked directly.
Samuel’s hands stilled on his wine glass. “The DNA tests confirmed it.”
“My mate’s aunt has been secretly monitoring Elena, Marcus revealed casually. “She mentioned something interesting about resemblances.”
Samuel’s breath caught. “What kind of resemblances?”
“My mate apparently looks remarkably similar to your deceased Luna,” Marcus said, watching Samuel’s reaction carefully.
Samuel’s face went pale. The implication hit him like a physical blow. If Elena resembled Dorothea so
strongly, and Sandy showed no family traits whatsoever…
“That’s… that’s impossible,” Samuel whispered.
Marcus smiled coldly. “Is it?”
Following the disastrous dinner, Samuel returned home and immediately confined Sandy to her quarters. He
summoned the finest etiquette teachers in Riverside City to begin her education.
“She will learn proper behavior,” he told Benjamin Hayes grimly. “Whether she likes it or not.”
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
The next morning, I opened my laptop to find an urgent email from Rachel Thompson. My heart pounded as I clicked on the attachment containing Sandy Parker’s medical records.
The appendectomy report from eight years ago clearly stated Sandy’s blood type: B positive.
I stared at the screen in shock. Children of O–type and Rh–negative parents could never have type B blood. The genetic impossibility confirmed my suspicions completely.
Sandy Parker was not the real Whitmore family daughter.
My phone buzzed with a message from Professor Theodore Ashworth. “When are you returning to the Southern Territory? I’m threatening to personally carry you back if you don’t return soon!”
Despite everything, his playful tone made me smile slightly.
Benjamin Hayes contacted me using Adrian’s phone later that afternoon. “Miss Elena, Young Master Adrian would like to apologize in person. Could you meet him at the lakeside fishing spot in the hills?”
I agreed, curious about what Adrian wanted to discuss.
The mountain lake sparkled under the afternoon sun as I arrived at the secluded fishing spot. Adrian stood by the water’s edge, his expression troubled.
“Elena, I owe you an apology for my father’s behavior yesterday,” he said sincerely.
“It’s not your fault,” I replied. “Family loyalty is understandable.”
Our private conversation was suddenly interrupted by the sound of approaching vehicle Stone emerged with fishing equipment, acting surprised to see us.
“What a coincidence,” Marcus said smoothly. “We decided to try fishing here today.”
I raised an eyebrow skeptically. “Quite a coincidence indeed.”

Adrian handed me a fishing rod with a gentle smile. “Since we’re all here, why don’t you try?”
અ
I cast the line awkwardly, having never fished before. Within minutes, I felt a strong tug and successfully
reeled in a large fish.
“Beginner’s luck,” I said, surprised by my success.
Marcus watched me with an unreadable expression. “Some people are naturally gifted.”
During the peaceful fishing session, Marcus spoke casually to Adrian. “DNA test results can sometimes have discrepancies.”
Adrian’s hands tightened on his fishing rod. “What do you mean?”
“A lost daughter identified only by tokens and test results might not be genuine,” Marcus continued meaningfully.
The implication hung heavy in the air between them.
(God’s POV)
After returning home, Adrian was summoned to his father’s private study. Samuel sat behind his desk,
looking older than his years.
“Son, I made a terrible mistake judging Elena,” Samuel admitted heavily. “I want you to apologize on my
behalf.”
Adrian nodded respectfully. “Of course, Father.”
“Sandy’s behavior tonight was disgraceful,” Samuel continued. “Her upbringing has been severely lacking.”
Adrian seized the opportunity. “Father, could DNA results ever have discrepancies?”
Samuel looked up sharply. “What are you suggesting?”
