Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 350

In MG Group's flagship seven-star hotel in Florence.

Yandel had just had a shower when someone knocked on the door.

It was probably Yale who had gone to pick up Leannie.

Yandel had not worn his clothes yet, and he only had a bath towel wrapped around his lower body. He strode toward the door to open it.

When he opened the door, he saw a tall, beautiful woman.

"Hi, President Soan."

It was none other than the second-tier artist who had just started to become more famous, Joey Xavier.

Coincidentally, she was one of the artists that had signed her contract with MG Group.

Yandel frowned when he saw her. "What are you doing here?"

The woman's eyes stared longingly at Yandel's perfect abs and his Apollo's belt. She had to suppress her urge to touch his perfect body. Obediently, she said, "President Soan, did you forget? I've been filming in Florence lately. It's a drama invested by MG Group called 'Love Across the Sea'. Did President Soan forget about this?"

Yandel glimpsed at her and turned back into the presidential suite to put on his clothes. "I'm not interested in your schedule. I just want to know who told you that I'm in this room?"

"Err... Is this important? President Soan, why didn't you let me know that you are in Florence for a business trip? You've been here for a few days already, right?"

Yandel huffed derisively and did not even look at her. "Do I have to inform you wherever I go?"

Joey bit her lips in anger, but she did not want to give up. She knew that Yandel was a piece of cold and relentless iceberg. However, she knew that if she could grab the chance to entice his heart, she would be able to roam and act as she wished in MG Group or the entertainment industry.

"President Soan... I am just concerned about you… I'm worried that you might feel bored and lonely if you're here alone, so..."

"There's no need for that. Leave now."

Yandel put on a bathrobe and meticulously tied string on his waist. His tone was a rather stern one.

Still, Joey did not give up. Instead, she lunged toward him and hugged Yandel's waist from behind. Yandel's brows frowned in displease.

"Joey, if you don't want your contract with MG Group to be terminated, you had better let go of me right now!"

Joey was so frightened that her face paled. She immediately took her hands off his body.

"President Soan..."

"Get out. If you don't, then the 'Love Across the Sea' filming crew will inform you that they had changed the female lead."

Yandel's expression was solemn, stern, and full of warning.

Joey clenched her fists. She swung her hips, but she was still reluctant to give up her chance to seduce him. However, she displayed a submissive manner. "Have a good night, President Soan. Sweet dreams."

Just as Joey stepped out of the room, Xylean and Yale had arrived at the hotel, and they were walking toward the room. As they passed each other, Xylean's and Joey's gaze interlocked for a second.

Joey did not know Xylean and was not familiar with Yale. She thought Xylean had recognized her as an artist, and so she quickened her steps and speedily left the hotel.

Xylean glanced toward the presidential suite with the door ajar. "Yale, when did your second young master like this kind of girl? Why was I unaware of this?"

"Err..."

Yale scratched his nose, but he did not dare to infuriate Xylean. He smiled and said, "The hotel manager must have received news that Second Young Master is here and so he tried to send some unknown female artist to accompany him. Don't worry, Ms. Xylean. Second Young Master will never be interested in her. Besides, don't you know what kind of girls that Second Young Master likes?"

A smile tugged at the corners of Xylean's lips, and she shrugged.

Yale accompanied her cautiously as he showed her the way. "Ms. Xylean, this way, please."

Xylean's expression was indifferent, and her gaze was on Audrey Hepburn on the television. "He lied to me with such a silly excuse. If he uses this excuse again, you should fire him immediately."

Her legs were fair and slender. Blood vessels were also visible on the back of her legs, and her toes wriggled restlessly. Yandel did not like such a frivolous Xylean.

He knew that she was trying to infuriate him.

Yandel sighed and walked toward her. He knelt at the side of the couch to remove all the accessories from her toes.

"Why do you wear so many foot accessories? Don't they hurt your toes and make you uncomfortable?"

Xylean was unconcerned. "I like them."

"All right. Go shower. It is getting late."

Xylean ignored him. "I don't want to."

"Should I carry you to the bathroom?"

"..."

Xylean took a few more bites from the apple and then stuffed it into Yandel's hands. "If you have nothing to do, then you shall eat some apples and don't speak to me. I promised to follow you home, but this does not mean that I want to talk to you."

Yandel glanced at the soggy half-eaten apple and gulped. He munched the remaining apple and caressed her hair. Xylean resisted his effort, but Yandel had gotten used to it. Then he quietly walked to a study table, switched on the computer, and started to work.

Xylean was a night owl. She loved to watch movies, literary films, and those noisy commercial movies at night. When Yandel was engrossed in his work, Xylean would munch on potato chips with the television volume turned up. She would spend the whole night watching comedies and laughed like a fool.

Yandel focused his attention on his work. Even though he was patient with Xylean, he was still a human with emotions, so there was a limit to his patience. "Leannie, please lower the volume."

After a while, Xylean replied emotionlessly, "Okay."
