Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 349

A mansion in Shallow Bay in North City.

Xavier was in the study room, and he wore a pair of dark blue silk pajamas as he sat in front of the computer. He had been working for some time.

He was not Heaton Fudd, so he was not clear about the Fudd Group's financial situation and details. He was not the same Heaton Fudd, who was highly sensitive to numbers and finance, either.

Xavier lifted his hands and massaged his temples. He tried to relax his weary eyes from the massage. While he was lying on the swivel chair, the door pushed open with a click.

Xavier opened his eyes and glanced at the door to see Yuna in a black, revealing silk pajamas with laces as she cat-walked toward him.

He ignored the amorous and erotic feelings that emanated from her eyes and questioned her coldly. "Why are you here?"

Yuna walked toward him and rested her soft arms on his shoulders. She hugged him and blew on his ears. "Isn't it obvious? What do I want? Of course, I wanted to do something in bed."

Xavier furrowed his brows in displease and flung her hands from his shoulder. "I'm not in the mood for that. Get out."

Yuna was a proud person, so she could not stand the cold shoulder that Xavier had shown her. She frowned in anger. "Xavier, be honest with me! Are you not capable of having sex?"

Otherwise, why did he have no response when such a beautiful lady like her enticed him with such revealing clothes?

She could not even get the most basic response that a man should have from him.

It was a significant blow to the arrogant Yuna.

"Get out. I still have things to do."

"I'm not leaving!"

Yuna took his left hand and pulled the platinum wedding ring from his ring finger. "Have you forgotten to remove this? This ring should have been thrown away a long time ago!"

"Return that to me." Xavier stood up and glared at her with his dangerous and icy cold eyes.

Yuna was startled, but she was not afraid. "You're my man now. Why are you still wearing the wedding ring that Verian gave to Heaton? I'm throwing this away!"

Yuna ran to the window and hurled the ring directly out of it.

Xavier sped toward her in large anxious strides and pushed her aside. "Who gave you permission to throw my belongings!"

It was a field of grass on the ground floor. He could no longer see the ring from where he stood on the second floor. He might not be able to find it even if he looked for it patiently.

Yuna glared at him. "Are you Xavier or Heaton? Didn't you say that you are not interested in Verian at all? Why are you so anxious when I threw away the wedding ring that Verian gave to Heaton?"

Xavier felt a wave of inexplicable anger. He clenched his fists as he stared ominously at Yuna. He enunciated his words when he ordered her to leave. "You had better get out now."

"You... Xavier..."

"Don't make me repeat it the second time!"

"...Hmph." Yuna huffed in anger.

When Xavier was provoked to anger, he would look extremely frightening. Yuna dared not infuriate him too much, so she could only stare at him unwillingly before she left the room.

When Yuna walked toward the door, Xavier reminded her impassively, "I meant you should get out of this mansion."

Yuna clenched her fists, and her face flushed red in anger. "Xavier, you're a horrible bastard!"

After Yuna left the mansion, Xavier felt an intense pain in his skull that he thought it was splitting apart. He fell onto the study chair.

He massaged his temple as he looked at his phone. Then, as if he was possessed by someone else, he opened his WeChat and clicked on Verian's WeChat profile.

However, a notification popped out. It stated that only those on her friend list would be able to see her status updates.

Xavier frowned and tossed his phone back onto his desk.

He peeked outside the window, and there was a muffled thunder sound; it would rain soon.

Xavier wanted to work for a while more, but he was not in the mood for it. So, he showered and went to sleep. However, no matter how much he tossed and turned, he would see images of Verian in his mind.

He sat upright and calmed himself, but he felt something was amiss.

He did not love Verian at all, so why did he have all these weird responses?

...

The next morning, Yandel and Yale Connor visited Verian.

"Ms. Mont, the DNA test results still show that you are the daughter of the Soan family."

Yandel glanced at Verian and pursed his lips. "If you are still unable to accept this and are unwilling to follow me back to South City, you can stay in Florence temporarily. You don't have to worry about safety as I will send people to protect you."

"There's no need for that.."

Yale Connor thought that Verian wanted to refuse their protection. "Ms. Mont, Jean knows about your existence. Based on her vengeful personality, she would definitely do something to harm you. So..."

Verian raised her head and smiled faintly. "I have decided to go to South City with you."

She had laid low in Florence until Heaton would bring her home.

However, she had lost Heaton. She had lost her home, and she was floating aimlessly like duckweed. She had no family and no friends. Yandel's appearance was like a lifeline for her.

She had thought about it and decided that meeting her family would be the next best step for her.

Besides, she did want to meet her biological parents.

She also wanted to get used to Yandel as her biological elder brother.

Yandel observed her with his usual deep gaze, and he finally found the courage to grasp her hands with his. "Rainie, I'm delighted that you could finally accept this and agreed to go back to the Soan mansion with me."

Verian could feel Yandel's hands trembled in jubilance.

"I heard... Miss Xylean mentioned that you... you and Madam Gaunt had been looking for me all these years?"

"Yes, we have been searching for you, and we did not give up. And now, we have finally found you. I'm sure Mother will be pleased once you are back in South City."

She was still unable to get used to her actual family members' sudden appearance, so she could only nod and hum in agreement.

"Okay..."
