Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress novel Chapter 405

Chapter 405: Healthy body, healthy mind.

"Oh, wow, Grandma! Yes, swing your arms like that." Penny closed her fist, moving her arms around to demonstrate to Old Mrs. Pierson how it was done.

Like a child, Old Mrs. Pierson punched the air while walking slowly. Surprisingly, she didn’t seem to need her cane at the moment. Although their pace was much slower, she clung to Penny most of the time.

"Grandma, are you sure you don’t need your cane?" Zoren asked from Penny’s other side, tilting his head forward with his eyes on his grandmother. "You can hold on me."

Old Mrs. Pierson, holding onto Penny’s arm, cast her grandson a suspicious look. "My grandson, you just don’t want me clinging to your wife, do you?"

"Yes."

"My child, your husband even gets jealous of his own grandmother," Old Mrs. Pierson said, turning to Penny with an apologetic look. "Does he give you a hard time about this? I’ll teach him a lesson or two!"

Penny chuckled, squeezing Old Mrs. Pierson’s hand. "Grandma, it’s fine. Thankfully, he doesn’t give me that kind of headache."

"Let me know if he does. My grandson is never selfish, but he can be quite territorial when it comes to things that are important to him," she said, subtly letting Penny know how much Zoren valued her. "So, if he becomes too much, just tell Grandma, okay?"

"Okay, Grandma." Penny smiled warmly, melting Old Mrs. Pierson’s heart with her bright expression.

Penny’s hair was tied back in a simple ponytail, and her hairline was damp with sweat. She wore no makeup, yet she looked more beautiful and fresh than ever.

Old Mrs. Pierson couldn’t help but glare at her grandson. ’How can he ever take his eyes off her?’

Sensing the stares from his grandmother, Zoren raised his brows and glanced at both women. But Old Mrs. Pierson was already back to chatting with Penny.

Zoren: "??"

"My granddaughter-in-law, we should do this often," Old Mrs. Pierson said. "A healthy body, a healthy mind."

"Yes, Grandma." Penny’s smile never wavered, pleased by Old Mrs. Pierson’s enthusiasm. "I’ll send you some aerobics videos so you can keep exercising when I’m busy with work."

"Of course, of course!" Old Mrs. Pierson laughed heartily. "I’ll do that! Haha!"

"But don’t overdo it, Grandma," Zoren warned. "Otherwise, Penny will blame herself if you faint."

"Hmph! How could I faint? I’m stronger than a cow! I may be old, but I’m not that old. I’ll still be around to wait for my great-grandchildren and take care of them!"

Penny smiled helplessly at Old Mrs. Pierson but didn’t have the heart to say anything. Zoren, however, had no problem responding.

"Soon," he reassured. "Hopefully."

’Please don’t smile like that! I’m weak!’ she mentally whined. Meanwhile, the mischievous part of her mind rubbed its palms together, giggling evilly.

’Renren?’ Old Mrs. Pierson and Butler Hubert exchanged curious glances, knowing full well that Zoren hated being called that now that he was an adult. And yet, Zoren only smiled and nodded at her.

"I’m fine," he reassured her, taking the towel from her shoulder to wipe her forehead. "Are you?"

Penny froze, lips pursed. She slid her eyes to Butler Hubert, who stood nearby. Instead of shock, however, Butler Hubert was giggling mischievously.

"Old Madam, let me assist you inside," Butler Hubert said, turning to Old Mrs. Pierson, who chuckled as he helped her up. "Your bath is ready." He paused and glanced at Zoren and Penny. "Please, Young Master and Young Madam, stay for breakfast."

"Hehe! It’s okay if you don’t!" Old Mrs. Pierson laughed, leaning on Butler Hubert’s arm. "We know you’re busy every morning!"

Penny opened her mouth to respond, but Zoren slipped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. She snapped her eyes up to him in surprise.

"We’ll stay for breakfast. Thank you," he said with a nod before flashing Penny a playful grin.

Penny opened and closed her mouth, then playfully punched his chest. She narrowed her eyes at him as he chuckled.

"Give me your towel," she muttered, grabbing the towel draped around his neck to wipe his face. "Goodness, why are you sweating so much? We only did ten thousand steps — gee!"

Despite her teasing, Zoren chuckled and let her wipe him like a child. Even so, his arm remained firmly around her waist, holding her close, not wanting to let go.
