"That’s good." Penny nodded approvingly, holding two papers in both hands and glancing between them. "This is looking good. Have you made contact with the company?"
Teddy, seated on the long chair, nodded. "I’ve already arranged an appointment with them. Would you like to attend?"
"Me?" She chuckled. "No, it’s fine. I trust you’ll negotiate properly. If they don’t agree with our terms, then drop them."
"Yes." He lowered his head, avoiding her gaze, as she was still in her pajamas.
Penny studied him for a moment before speaking. "Are you sure you’re going to be fine with this? Or should I send Hayley with you to the meeting?"
"I can handle it," he replied. "The people I’m going to meet might be from my past, but that doesn’t faze me at all."
He paused and looked her in the eye. "You told me to kick their ass, and I’m planning to do that. Not physically, but with this deal."
"That’s my assistant for you," she smirked in approval. "Anyway, everything looks good. Let me know how the negotiation goes once you’ve finished."
With that, Penny pushed herself up and sauntered toward the desk. She had already completed two tasks this morning, so it was time for her to go back to the penthouse and change. Working in her pajamas might be comfortable, but it wasn’t appropriate in a business setting.
Why did she have to conform to norms?
The thought made her frown, but still, looking decent wasn’t such a bad thing. After all, anyone could walk in here, even though she had told Patricia not to accept visitors. An emergency could arise at any moment.
Meanwhile, Teddy picked up his things and dragged his feet toward the door. But just as he was about to leave, he looked back at Penny.
"Miss Penny." His call made her look back at him.
"What is it?"
Teddy opened his mouth, but the words he wanted to ask rolled back in his throat. In the end, he closed his mouth and smiled faintly.
"It’s nothing, Miss Penny. I just thought you should rest today since you had an accident last night."
Penny smiled back. "When I say I’m fine, that means I am fine."
Penny, after all, was also a bit dramatic. She would take advantage of any opportunity to take a break and spend time with her husband. However, there were plenty of things she needed to do and places she planned to visit today.

The door clicked behind Teddy as he sighed heavily upon stepping out of his boss’ office.
"Did you get scolded?" Patricia, who had been at the reception outside, perked up as she spotted him. She blinked innocently. "You look a little pale."
Teddy frowned. "Mind your own business."
Without another word, he walked away, heading back to the office.
Patricia, on the other hand, kept her eyes on him. She shrugged and nodded, exchanging a look with Mark.
"He got scolded for sure."
Mark, who had been minding his own business, glanced at Patricia indifferently. He shook his head and looked away, leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed over his chest.

When Teddy returned to the office, he immediately noticed Hayley. She was staring at her monitor, clearly trying to focus but failing.
Seeing this, he instantly knew she had probably gotten what she wanted, though she probably wished she hadn’t. Teddy cast Shawn a look, and Shawn smiled apologetically at him.
’She pressured me,’ Shawn’s expression seemed to say. ’I swear I didn’t want to tell her!’
They might not have given Stephen a new mission, but Penny was certain they were lying low. It would be too risky for them to act immediately after Stephen’s suspicious rise to CEO of Global Prime Logistics.
With that thought in mind, Penny quickly rose from the tub and finished showering.

[BENNET MANSION]
Slater wailed as he hugged Butler Jen, making the butler smile helplessly.
"Butler Jen, I know you’ll miss me. But don’t cry!" Slater continued, still bawling his eyes out. "I’ll come by whenever I can!"
Allison and Charles, who were with them, shook their heads at their youngest son. Slater had told them he had to move out because his schedule was too crazy, and coming home wasn’t practical anymore.
Charles scrunched his nose, watching how his son tried to console Butler Jen, even though it was Slater who was bawling his eyes out.
"Why are you even crying? You’re an adult! You should’ve moved out a long time ago—ack!"
Allison pinched his side and shot him a warning glare before smiling at Slater. "Slater, don’t worry. You’ll be moving out this weekend, so you still have time to spend with Butler Jen."
"But Butler Jen will miss me!" Slater sniffed. "He always stayed up late just to wait for me."
"Third Young Master, it’s alright."
Slater cast a knowing look at Butler Jen. "I know it’s not alright, Butler Jen. Don’t worry. I’ll keep you updated so you won’t have to worry."
Butler Jen didn’t respond, simply offering him a smile.
Charles: Can’t he see Butler Jen’s face? He’s clearly telling him, no.
