"Mr. Atlas Bennet?" š»š³āÆāÆš¤āÆš·šÆā“šāÆš.šā“š
Allen furrowed his brows, spotting a delivery guy at the entrance of his office. But what surprised him most was what the delivery guy was holding.
"What is it?" he asked, approaching the man. He paused and gazed down at the huge bouquet in the manās arms.
"Youāre Mr. Atlas Bennet?" the delivery guy asked.
"No, but Iām his assistant. Heās in a meeting right now, so I can accept the delivery."
"Okay." The delivery guy simply shoved the bouquet to Allen, who instinctively hugged it. "Please sign here."
"Uh..." Confused, Allen mindlessly signed the paper, and the delivery guy didnāt waste a second before leaving.
Watching him go, Allenās brows knitted even more. He gazed down at the bouquet with confusion.
"Did he order this?" he wondered to himself. "But whoās he going to give this to?"
Allen mulled over it, but even after racking his brain for any love interest, he couldnāt remember anyone. Atlas was... well, he was Atlas. And with that kind of character, Allen was already feeling sad about his bossās future.
"I guess Iāll just have to ask him," he told himself. "Maybe itās for his mother or Miss Penny or Miss Nina."
Although Motherās Day was over, and there was no reason for him to send Penny flowers, Nina was a strong possibility. After all, Ninaās wedding was being finalized, and she would get married soon. So, it could be a congratulatory gift... who knows?
As Allen marched toward Atlasās office, some of his colleagues perked up.
"Sir Allen, whose flowers are those for?" one of the female employees asked curiously.
Her question earned more looks from the others.
"Are you pursuing someone?"
"Sir Allen, youāre single!?"
Allen laughed awkwardly as he waved dismissively.
"Itās not for me," he said. "And please, keep quiet."
Everyone in the department looked at each other, then set their eyes on Allen. They followed their bossās figure with their gaze, watching him enter Atlasās office.
"Thatās... thatās for Sir Atlas?" one of the female employees froze, wide-eyed. "Seriously?"
"Did he receive it? Or did he order it to give to someone?"
"But isnāt heā" one of them bit her tongue as she earned everyoneās look. She didnāt dare continue what everyone already knew: Atlasās preferences.
After all, not long ago, rumors of Atlas and Zoren being romantically involved had been circulating in the company. But then, somehow, this narrative became a love triangle because apparently, Dean Pierson was interested in Atlas.
The most interesting part of all? Zorenās wife was just a cover story to hide the fact that he was into... men.
No one dared speak a word, knowing that if it reached Atlas, theyād be dead. But the way they looked at each other, they already knew one thing.
"Did you get a good look at the flower?" the employees asked each other in hushed whispers.
Why? Because they had to keep a close eye on where that bouquet would go.
---
When Allen placed the bouquet in Atlasās office, he didnāt think much about it. He returned to his work to finish some of his tasks, but when he caught Atlas returning, he quickly abandoned his own office and rushed to his boss.
Atlas paused just as he twisted the knob of his office, turning his head. There, standing nervously beside him, was Allen.
