T. Mouse.
Everyone gazed at the person they had all heard about. Some had their eyes slowly dilating, while others furrowed their brows.
That was T. Mouse? Wasn’t T. Mouse a man? An old, big man? What was this woman—a beautiful woman—doing here?
Meanwhile, Patricia and Teddy, who were standing not far away, scanned the situation. Teddy couldn’t help but mentally nod at them, relating to their reaction. He had been just as shocked to learn who T. Mouse was.
But what Teddy didn’t know was that, unlike him—who mistook Yugi for T. Mouse—these people had Wild in mind. After all, many of them had done their own digging, and Wild just matched the rumors about T. Mouse.
Penny grinned happily as she took in the sight before her. She liked the mixed reactions; they never got old. It wasn’t the shock factor that amused her but rather how people made such faces over something so trivial—it was hilarious.
"It’s a pleasure to meet all of you," Penny remarked. "And thank you for coming here when you could be practicing for the finals."
Yet, she heard nothing in return. All they did was stare at her in stunned silence, making her raise her brows innocently. Penny smacked her lips and turned to Yugi. Seeing him nod, she turned back to the crowd.
"Anyway, I hope you enjoy tonight’s dinner," she said before tapping at an old computer displayed before her. "And don’t be so harsh on these junkers. The code you’re all going to crack was created on these computers. And... good luck on the finals. I’ll see you all there."
With that, Penny turned, having no plans to stay. As she walked toward Yugi, she halted by his side.
"Make sure they’re prepared," she said, earning a nod from him before resuming her steps. Patricia and Teddy quickly followed her, while Yugi moved forward.
Penny only wanted to meet these people once before the finals. After all, they were scouting for talented individuals to join the Prime Group. Although this brief interaction wasn’t enough, it was for Penny. Hence, she left Yugi to accommodate the players while she prepared for something else.
The finals, after all, was important because invited guests would be watching the event. And by guests, she meant some of the biggest companies in Anteca.

"Penny, are you sure we’re leaving?" Patricia, seated in the backseat with Penny, perked up. "I thought there was supposed to be an assembly where you give them some pep talk or something!"
Penny scrunched up her nose. "Why would I give them a pep talk? I already said what I wanted to say and wished them good luck. Isn’t that enough?"
"That’s it?"
"Yeah, that’s it." Penny rolled her eyes and leaned back, knowing she now had to meet a lot of people for business. "Teddy, where are we headed?"
"To the Marion Hotel to meet with their representative." Teddy, in the front passenger seat, looked back and spoke politely. "You have a maximum of an hour with them."
Surely, having someone handle this wasn’t so bad after all. The only time Penny’s schedule moved was when Yugi helped her. Otherwise, she had no choice—it was too much of a bother to adjust her entire day just because one party was a disappointment.
Pleased, Penny caught Patricia looking at her. Raising a brow, she slowly slid her eyes toward her seatmate. "What?"
"...." Patricia just frowned, looking at her as if she had just caught her lover looking at someone else. "Nothing."
"Gosh. What’s wrong with you?" Penny shook her head, not really dwelling on Patricia’s reaction. But as she looked away, she muttered, "Patricia, you better take notes. How are you supposed to learn if you’re too distracted?"
"I am taking notes," Patricia pouted, leaning back while narrowing her eyes at the front passenger seat. ’If I work side by side with him, the comparison is too obvious. Also, I didn’t know we could change her schedule even without her instruction!?’
Patricia rubbed her chin, casting Penny another look. A second later, her brows rose as she thought about it.
’Right,’ she realized. ’Penny isn’t used to having secretaries around her, so she didn’t bother canceling our original plan.’ freewebnoveℓ.com
Nodding to herself, Patricia quickly jotted down notes. Meanwhile, Penny peeked at Patricia and smirked.
Again, Penny looked out the window, propped her elbow on the ledge, and rested her chin on her knuckles. ’At this point, Teddy looks like an old assistant training his replacement. But oh well, it’s better if Patricia is around instead of not knowing what she’s up to. She’s like a ticking time bomb in the Miller’s Company, and I don’t want her causing problems for Dad and Uncle Haines.’
