Chapter 259

When I woke up in the morning, I felt the need to make sure that my mate was safe in my arms. Nothing says your mate is safe like hearing your name screamed from her lips while her body contracts around you as she comes. My mate loves making me lose control when I’m inside her and I did, making her scream until she was hoarse. Her love blasted through me as I emptied myself inside her, sending the darkness back to the depths of my soul.
Connor and Henry arrived early this morning with their warriors in tow. I found out that Stellan had attempted to force his mark on Cyra in order to use Alpha Arden’s pack to go against me in this battle. Thankfully, he failed. Not that it would have mattered in the fight, but it would have mattered if he had taken Cyra away from Yorick.
As we make our way to Alpha Christer’s pack, I can feel the darkness settling back inside me again. We agreed to drive until we’re about ten miles away from the pack. Luna Yara and Kennedy are in my pack ready to take care of any of our warriors that need treatment after the battle. We have multiple vehicles so if anyone is hurt badly, we can get them back to my pack hospital quickly.
Since I needed the distraction, I’m driving with Alpha Warren and several of my warriors. We have several vans filled with warriors as do Connor and Henry. I left Beta Kier, Lane, Leo, and Terrance at home to protect the pack, Kennedy, and my pups.
“Are you alright, Quirin? Your aura is becoming heavy and thick,” Warren says.
I glance at him. “I will be better when Alpha Christer is dead and everyone understands what happens when someone threatens what’s mine,” I growl.
“Understood. Will you give me a few moments to speak to the pack, to try to get them to stand down before you kill him? We know there’s at least one warrior who doesn’t want to fight,” he says.
Before I was mated to Kennedy, I wouldn’t have cared about destroying Christer’s entire pack. Everyone would have died, warriors, omegas, pups, it wouldn’t have mattered. But I am mated to Kennedy, and she brings a level of humanity to me that I never had in my life before her. My sweet, gentle pups, Quilla and Quinlee remind me every day that while I may be a vicious killer, I have produced pups that are like their mother and should not be held responsible for my violent actions.
With that in mind, I respond to Warren. “Yes, the less blood shed the better. There is only one person who needs to die today and that’s Christer. If the others stand down and no one threatens my fathily, they can live.”
“Thank you,” he says.
I glance at him. “Thank Kennedy. She’s my humanity.”
“It’s your humanity, Quirin. She just brings it to the forefront,” he says. Damn the man for always seeming to know the right things to say.
When we get to our stopping point, I pull up the information the Tech Team gave me on Christer’s pack. It has a drawing around the area of the pack lands and marks other areas where there could be access points or barriers to entry.
Warren, Henry, Connor, and I review the area and decide where our warriors will go, spreading out around the pack in case we have to attack. The four of us will remain together, approaching from the front of the pack to face Christer head on.
Once we have a plan, we send most of our warriors out, and the four of us along with a handful of my warriors get into a couple of vans and drive to the gates of Christer’s pack. There is a line of warriors waiting for us and the howl of attack goes up quickly.
We step out of the van and I let Warren take the lead as I look around, trying to sniff out Christer.
Warren gives them the option to step aside, but they refuse. I refocus as the warriors push forward. There aren’t a lot of them, but I can hear more coming. I still don’t smell Christer. Fucking coward.

Chapter 250
Ipunch a warrior, hearing his nose break before he hits the ground out cold. Then I shift and take off running. The others can handle the warriors, I want Christer.
“Shit!” I hear Warren murmur and a few moments later, I hear Arric’s paws pounding the grass behind Raif
As we run, Raif lifts his head and howls the howl of the hunt, letting Christer know that we’re here for him. His pack instantly responds and right behind that, our combined packs respond, letting Christer’s warriors know that they are surrounded.
When we get closer to the packhouse, I smell him. Raif snarls and pushes harder, slicing through warriors as we go, injuring them, but not killing them. The arrogant asshole is standing at the front of his packhouse with warriors lined up on either side of him when I approach.
I shift quickly, Warren shifting right behind me. I lock eyes with Christer.
“You’re mine,” I snart.
“Good luck getting to me,” he growls, as I hear Tyrus and Bosche, Henry’s and Connor’s wolves, rushing up behind us along with the rest of my warriors that I left at the front gate.
Warren steps forward, once again trying to get the warriors to stand down.
“You are surrounded. You are outnumbered. Your Alpha has leveraged your pack with a loan he couldn’t afford. Alpha Quirin intended to call the note and take the pack peacefully, but Alpha Christer threatened his mate. This battle is not about you. If you stand down, if you refuse to fight, we will let you live. If not, you will die here today,” Warren says as the rest of our wolves come rushing in from all sides.
“How do we know we can trust you?” a warrior asks.
“I wouldn’t have bothered trying to talk to you if I didn’t mean what I say. We would have just come into your pack and started killing everyone. Your Alpha has put you in this situation, but you do not have to die for him.”
“What about our Alpha?” another warrior asks.
“He dies for threatening my mate,” I snarl.
I don’t look away from Christer, but I can see the warriors all looking at each other, realizing that if they do fight against us, they will die
today.
“Don’t you dare fucking step away,” Christer snarls at them, but he’s already lost his pack even if he doesn’t realize it.
“I hope you’re not waiting for your brother to arrive with Alpha Cyra’s pack. He was apprehended at the Academy, trying to force himself and his mark on her. He’s been taken to jail. There won’t be anyone else coming to help you, Christer. Now, it’s just you and me. You said you hadn’t heard of me? This part of the country doesn’t know why I’m considered the most dangerous Alpha on the continent, possibly the planet? You’re about to find out,” I say, my voice low and vicious.
Almost as one, his warriors step aside. I take a step forward, my claws extending as Christer leaps at me.
I duck out of the way, swiping my claws across his midsection. He snarls and spins around, swiping his claws across my arm and shoulder. I slam my claws into his rib cage, hearing the sound of his breathing change as I puncture his lung.
He steps back wheezing, glaring at me. I can feel Raif already healing the wounds on my arm.
“You threatened my mate,” I growl, pushing forward again. He spins out of the way, but not before I kick out his knee, dislocating it and sending him to the ground with a howl of pain.
I continue prowling around him, growling and glaring.
“You threatened my mate,” I growl, swiping out quickly and removing an ear.

Chapter 259
He cries out, pressing a hand to his ear as blood seeps down his face.
“You threatened my mate,” I growl again, stomping on his ankle and hearing a satisfied crunch as Christer screams in agony.
I hear others driving up to the packhouse, but I don’t look away from my prey. The others will handle whoever is here. The darkness has closed around my peripheral vision and all that’s left in this world is me and the man who threatened to take the best thing that has ever happened to me away.
“You threatened my mate,” I growl again, raking my claws down his back. He arches in pain, screaming again.
I make another loop around his bleeding, shaking body. “Please,” he says, lifting his hand up in surrender.
“You threatened my mate,” I snarl, swiping my claws and removing all four of his fingers at once.
“Please,” Christer says, pressing his bloody hand against his chest as he looks past me.
“You threatened my twin sister,” I hear Conner say, his voice nearly as deadly as mine.
Christer’s eyes move to someone else.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Pack's Doctor
I'm so excited!!! Yorrick's story is finally being written (i had already lost hope on this) - thank you!!! It's really statisfying to read all those hints about who will be mated together. And it's nice that Yorric's story includes not only him, but also Wendy. I'm being kept on edge how Henry's story will roll out. *about gibberish parts: yeah, there are quite a few, but come on, it's not like we pay for the service to have the right to require good quality! I'm just happy i'm able to read what i like!...
157 is all gibberish as well. I can't undeestand anything about the famiky leaving, & what her mom is saying about the work sge needs to do in her relashionship.. the auther seriously needs to rewrite or edit all these errors....
The beginning of Chapter 156 is all gibberish.. wth??!!?? Why does this happen all the time 🫤...
Great story but im at chapter 137 & there's a lot of parts where the words are all scrambled leaving the reader to have to try and desipher what is being said. That kind of disrupts the flow .....
It's my favorite book of all the books about warewolves that I've read! I come back to reread it again and again, after finishing another not so enthralling story from another author. I will soon know this story by heart, but it's still way more pleasureable to read than all the rest :)...
