The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 741

Adam hesitated for a moment. He did feel guilty, but he hadn't come here to witness a happy couple flaunting their love.

Nigel was already living a blissful life, while he and Celine had been separated for three years.

"Mr. Hampton, Mrs. Hampton, I came to the Hampton residence to talk to you about something," Adam said.

"Adam, what are you doing here?" Carly asked as she walked over.

She had been in her room but ran out when she heard Adam's voice.

"Adam, you came at the perfect time! Now that my mom is back and both my parents are here, let's finalize our wedding date. When are you going to marry me?" Carly asked excitedly, linking her arm with Adam's.

Fiona turned to Adam. "Mr. Alvarez, you and Carly were betrothed from birth. Now that both of you are at the right age, it's time to settle down. Tomorrow, your mother and I will pick a date and arrange the wedding."

Nigel stared at Adam but remained silent.

Adam's cold gaze landed on Carly's face. "Let go," he said sharply.

Carly froze. Adam pulled his arm away from hers, then coldly warned, "Don't touch me again."

Fiona, who was unaware of the tensions between them, looked confused. "Mr. Alvarez, why are you treating Carly like this?"

Adam turned to them both. "Mr. Hampton, Mrs. Hampton, I came here to break off the engagement officially."

Fiona was taken aback. "Mr. Alvarez, you want to break off the engagement with Carly?"

Carly's face turned pale. She had known this day would come, but it had arrived sooner than she expected. Adam was here to call off the engagement.

"Adam, our families have been betrothed for years. The whole Capitol knows we're supposed to marry. Don't make a scene. Let's just get married…" Carly pleaded.
