“Mommy, I want to buy some nice frames for these photos and display them in our room,” Adam said eagerly, his eyes sparkling with anticipation, that way, I can look at them every day!”

“Okay, sweetheart,” Skylar said with a warm smile.

Adam wiggled closer to his mom, and together they browsed online for nice photo frames.

After picking out the frames and paying, Adam clutched the precious photos and hurried upstairs. He tucked them away in a secret spot, hiding them so well that even Skylar had no idea where they were.

After returning from the trip, Skylar took a couple of days to rest at home and handled some matters for Phidon.

Phidon was running smoothly now and required little oversight from her. Right now, the newly restructured company from the Stone Group was the top priority.

Skylar retained the competent staff from the Stone Group and offered the remaining severance packages. The next step was to bring in new talent and get the company up and running swiftly.

She also needed a new assistant to help handle miscellaneous tasks at the new company. She had left Sophie at Phidon to assist the vice president in managing operations. She could not ask Sophie to shuttle between two companies

The new company was slightly bigger than Phidon, so having just one assistant probably would not suffice. She had Leon select several trustworthy, long–serving staff from their headquarters to be her assistants.

Skylar brought along her assistants to the inaugural shareholders‘ meeting of her newly established company.

“The new company’s restructuring is now complete. The core business will focus on signing and developing in–house talent while investing in film and television production, aiming to excel in both areas,” she said.

She had barely finished her sentence when David immediately snapped, “Wow, someone’s so confident.

“Listen, you’re just an inexperienced young girl who knows nothing about showbiz. All you do is spout textbook theories!

“Fellow shareholders, why are you keeping quiet? Are you going to sit back and let this clueless girl ruin our company?”

The other shareholders hesitated. After all, they were in the real estate business previously, and this abrupt shift about the future.

Skylar completely ignored him and declared firmly, “My vision is to build this company into a top–tier talent agency in the entertainment industry, and a premier production powerhouse in the film and television industry.

“Therefore, I sincerely ask all shareholders for your full support and cooperation in this endeavor.

“If any shareholder doesn’t share my vision, you may request to withdraw now,” she declared. As she delivered the final sentence, her gaze swept across the assembled shareholders before locking onto David with deliberate intensity.

“You haven’t even found your footing yet, and you’re already trying to oust seasoned executives like us?” David stood up and said.

He then turned to the shareholders, provoking them, “Fellow shareholders, is this someone you’d trust with your investments? Would you stake your fortunes on her leadership?”

The shareholders had long been discontent with the restructuring, and with David’s deliberate provocation, their frustrations finally boiled over.

One of the shareholders, with a receding hairline, graying temples, and a prominent beer belly, stood up to speak out.
