I wouldn’t deny that I used Frederick to get that divorce from Jonathan. If he chooses not to keep running the company with me, I’ll respect his decision. 

With both men briefly stepping out of my life, I was surprised at how much lighter I felt. I’d just 

been doing my own thing ever since. 

New Voyage took off quickly. We started with small projects, but then one of our mini–games suddenly went viral across the country and brought in huge profits. 

One of our investors was very pleased and commissioned us to produce an advertisement. Orders started pouring in so quickly that we could barely keep up. 

For a while, I pushed all those tangled emotions and men out of my mind. None of that mattered 

as much as actual cash in hand. 

But one day, a notice came reminding me that Jonathan and I hadn’t officially finalized the 

divorce. We had signed the agreement and gone to the courthouse once, but we still needed to return a month later to complete the process. 

I glanced at it and said casually, “Put it on the schedule.” 

I told my secretary, “I’ll need to make time to go and complete the process for the divorce 

certificate.” 

I have Celine as my secretary now. She used to handle technical support, but she preferred managing my schedules, so I reassigned her. 

“Got it, boss.” 

Hearing her call me that gave me a little thrill inside. Turns out, nothing’s more satisfying than having your own business. 

“Ms. Sawyer, please keep next Monday open for the divorce certificate. Someone from Millenia Corporation already came by to go over the details,” Celine said. 

I nodded. “Alright, got it.” 

She didn’t leave right away, so I glanced at her. “Something wrong?” 

“Nothing.” 

Celine pressed her lips together, then said nothing more and turned to leave.
