Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 2413

Though Bianca looked shy, she was already striking a pose on top of the wall as she spoke.

"How about this angle? Should I add some fox ears to look cuter?"

Zane was about to shake his head when he saw six beautiful fox tails lift gently behind Bianca.

She was already radiant, sitting on top of a wall blooming with flowers. Now, with those shimmering fox tails behind her, the scene took on a fairy-tale glow.

Zane said nothing more and lowered his head to focus on the painting before him.

Just as he finished sketching Bianca's silhouette into the scene, he glanced up and noticed another head pop up on the wall. It was Thalia.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be cultivating?"

Caught red-handed, Bianca flinched diffidently before she quickly pointed at Zane. "It's him! He insisted I model for him, and I had no choice!"

Zane was utterly speechless. She had better not take advantage of the fact that he didn't talk much just to make things up.

As their eyes met, Bianca immediately shot him a pointed glare full of warning. It was a look that said, "You dare say it wasn't you who offered to paint me first?"

Zane thought about it. Technically, he hadn't forced her to model for him, but it was true that he'd offered to paint.

Fine.

He nodded slightly to Thalia. His gaze held its usual warmth and respect for Thalia, who'd raised him.

Seeing his nod, Thalia decided not to push further. Instead, she leaned over the wall and smiled. "Paint me too."

Adam, who'd been heading out, halted mid-step upon seeing the scene. Unlike his wife and children, he couldn't sprawl on top of the wall. Instead, he walked over and stood beside Zane to quietly watch him paint.

Benjamin had arrived at some point and stood beside the flower wall without joining the picture. His eyes fixed on Shannon, who smiled brightly above.

The painting took all morning to complete, and everyone who saw the final piece loved it. That was, except for Zane, who wasn't entirely satisfied.

After thinking about it, he returned to his room and began painting anew. In the final version, two flower-covered creatures leisurely passed by beneath a wall bursting with vibrant color and flowers. Atop the wall sat familiar faces, some relaxed and others smiling.

A tall figure stood by the flower wall and quietly gazed up at someone on the wall with eyes full of gentle affection.

In front of the wall was a young man focused entirely on his canvas, surrounded by people.

In the first half of his life, he'd grown used to and even enjoyed solitude. But in the days to come, no matter how long he lived, he wished to live a life that was warm, full of laughter, and never lonely again.
