Chapter49
Ziana’s POV
I am on my fifth plate of food when I receive a mindlink.
“We’re back. Waiting in Killian’s office for debrief.” Addie tells us through mindlink. We walk to Killian’s office,
with me grumbling about not being able to finish my french toast. Killian assures me that there is plenty left
if I want more later when we reach his office door and walk in. Addie and Kai are sitting on the sofa, waiting for us. They both eye me suspiciously as we take our seats. Once we are all settled Kai starts.
“There was nothing out of the ordinary. We scouted all night, but nobody came to collect the woman. We left
two scouts there to watch, just in case somebody came. But as of right now, nothing is amiss.” Kai explains
and I nod. Glancing at the clock I see that it’s 9:00 and my eyes widen.
“Sh*t. I need to help Marissa and Mikey get ready for the ceremony. I can try to get more information from the
guy in the cell later tonight.” I say and they all agree, then I head out of the office making a mental list of stuff I need to do today.
“Not so fast, girly. Something is different about you and it is not a s*x bliss. What is it?” Addie runs out of the
office, following me and stopping me. I look around to see if anybody heard her and scowl when I see her
smirking face.
“Might as well just scream the details of my s*x life for the whole packhouse to hear while you’re at it.” I
complain and she laughs.
“Oh come on. Nobody is around and even if they were, it’s not a shock that you mated Killian and Zane, all of
your scents are intertwined.” She says, waving her hand to disregard my embarrassment. “What happened?”
She asks, getting back to the point.
“1. Well I got my wolf last night.” I stutter, embarrassment about me shifting so late coating my voice.
Addie squeals and picks me up, spinning around and scrambling my brain with how much she jumps.
“Put. Me. Down.” I growl on each of her bounces. She lets go and snorts.
“Ah. I love irritating you with that.” She says as I try to cut her with a death glare. Snorting again, she shakes
her head, then punches my shoulder playfully.
“For real though. I am happy for you. What’s her name? What does she look like? Did you mate yet? How did that work? Also, why now? Did she explain anything?” Addis fires question after question.
I answer them all as we make our way to Marissa to help her with whatever she needs.
We spend the next few hours getting ready. Doing each other’s hair and makeup, while drinking mimosas. I then go to check on Mikey and find that Kai and Zane are with him and he is all good to go.
I walk Mikey down the aisle, while Marissa’s sister walks her. Both orphanages are here. Some of Marissa’s family, Killian, Zane, their fathers, Kai, Addie, and a few friends who wanted to come and show their support.
It’s an intimate, but beautiful ceremony, and the reception is behind the packhouse. Killian enlisted the kitchen staff to help with the food. Marissa and Mikey wanted to have a cookout, so Killian, Kai, Zane and their dads are manning the grills.
Chapter 49
We dance, laugh and have fun. I even danced a few songs with Leo, granted he stepped on my feet the whole time, but his giggles and smile more than made up for it. It’s a good day, but by now, the night is winding down. The kids have been sent to bed and the music slows and Marissa bounces up to me and Addie, heels clacking on the concrete patio.
“Slow dance time!” She squeals as she grabs my hand and pulls me to an open area. Addie runs and grabs Killian, dragging him behind her, and Kai is dragging Zane. All of us meet in the area as the song changes.
“How are the three of us supposed to dance to this?” Killian grumbles and Addie laughs as she lowers her
voice.
“Just like the three of you make love.” She says and raises her eyebrow suggestively. I choke on my spit and my face begins to flush.
“Addie!” I yell and go to kick her, but she dodges then grabs Kai, cackling as she begins to dance with her
mate.
Marissa does the same with Mikey and I awkwardly stand there looking between Zane and Killian. Zane smiles as he grabs my hand and kisses it.
“You look beautiful.” He says, then steps behind me placing one hand on my right and the other on my left hip. Killian clears his throat then steps behind me. He smiles and everything else seems to fade away as he places his left palm in my right one, then his right hand above Zane’s on my side. My world narrows as the love I feel from their bonds fill me and we dance.
