Chapter 148 Freya

As long as Freya was willing, she could find endless topics to talk about–after all, she was a novelist. Now that she’d thought of Jasmine’s name, she suddenly remembered some research she had done for a novel and asked shyly,
“Jasmine, your name… is it a Miller family thing?”
“It is. I come from the Miller family.” Jasmine hadn’t mentioned her identity earlier, but now that Freya had guessed it, she didn’t see any reason to hide. She answered openly and calmly.
Freya’s eyes widened instantly, sparkling with excitement. Oh my god, a real–life priestess! Or rather, a real–life, stunningly pretty girl! She couldn’t contain her joy.
“So, you’re a priest?”
“I am.”
“Ahhh! I’m actually seeing a living priestess! I knew there was a reason you’re so beautiful!” Freya couldn’t hold it in anymore
-she threw her arms around Jasmine in a quick hug, then let go and eagerly pulled out her phone.
“Let’s add each other on WhatsApp, okay?”
After adding Jasmine, Freya felt completely satisfied. Now she could chat with Jasmine anytime, soak up her beauty through texts, and if she ever wrote another novel about priesthood, she had an expert to consult. What a win!
Louis, on the other hand, had never seen Freya so animated and enthusiastic. Even when she found out her novel was going to be adapted into a show, her excitement had been mostly contained. But now, her eyes were practically glowing. She looked simply happy–so cheerful, talking nonstop, almost leaning into Jasmine.
So she does know how to talk this much, Louis thought to himself, a little amused.
The two women were like a contrast of nature’s wonders–one like a snow lotus blooming on a remote cliff, the other like a radiant peony growing wild in the woods. Yet somehow, they matched beautifully. Each was beautiful in her own way. Together, they were like a painting.
Watching Freya nearly lean onto Jasmine, Waylon felt a twinge of irritation and muttered to Louis beside him,
“Louis, look at Freya. Aren’t you going to do something?”
