Ex-Wife's Revenge (Alaricka) novel Chapter 121

The final result was surprisingly tasty, and both of them ate to their hearts’ content.

Jaylene said, “I had a feeling we’d be in short supply.”

Alaricka lay by her side, her eyes squinting with a smile.

The next morning, the two of them went to school together.

First, I rode the tricycle near the school, asked someone I knew to park it for me, and then went to the school.

When she got to class, Jaylene told everyone about her plan to set up a stall after school, and asked them to spread the word so she could build up a customer base.

Everyone got interested as soon as they heard it. They all said they would go check it out after class, and even went around telling others that Jaylene and Alarieka were going to set up a stall to sell barbecue.

All day long, not just the students, even the teachers knew Alarieka and Jaylene were setting up a stall to sell barbe-

cue.

It was close to the end of school, Clarissa came.

Clarissa stood at the door with her girlfriends and little followers, talking loudly.

“Some people just couldn’t become a phoenix even if they made it to the top. Once they got kicked out of the Argent family, they ended up having to set up a stall to sell barbecue. It was really funny. How much money could you even make from that? So pathetic, really pathetic.”

The little follower caught up right away. Shan laughed and said, “I think she’d be better off just begging you for some money. There’s no way she could actually accomplish anything.”

Clarissa snorted, “Even if she begged me, I wouldn’t give her money. I don’t want to be friends with someone who sells stuff on the street. That’s so embarrassing. All my friends are daughters of business owners or kids from power- ful families. I look down on people who sell things on the street.”

Alarieka didn’t care how Clarissa talked about her.

But the classmates in the class didn’t seem to agree.

Ever since she last took Jaylene out of the club, these students seemed to treat her like one of their own. They were much nicer to her and called her for everything.

Same thing this time, they couldn’t stand someone being so mean, so they immediately snapped back with some sar-

castic comments.

“Did you guys smell something stinky?” The girl held her nose and said with disgust, “It really stinks!”

The others got it, pretended not to know, sniffed around, then suddenly pointed at the classroom door and shouted:
