Bethany placed her phone on the table, turned on the
speakerphone, and was about to use her phone to input text
into the software.
Terrence’s phone rang with Krista’s voice.
“Eliza, did you need something from Terrence? Terrence is still
sleeping.”
Bethany’s phone fell to the ground, and she was completely
bewildered.
Krista heard a sound and shouted, “Eliza, what’s wrong? Has
something happened at home?”
Bethany hung up the phone in a panic.
Krista lived with Terrence.
Terrence lived a disciplined life. He used to wake up early all the
time, unless he was doing that thing with her, which made him
sleep in a bit longer in the morning.
Bethany tightly bit her lower lip.
This morning, Emery told the nurse that his mother went on a
business trip with his father.
She also asked Emery, but Emery said he didn’t know, he was
just randomly talking to the nurse.
Her good son, began to help outsiders deceive her…
But she denied all her thoughts because of Terrence’s little
tenderness.
I fantasized about listening to him explain, to hear him clarify.
He took Krista on a business trip and they stayed together.
What kind of explanation does she still need?
She was really useless.
Couldn’t resist Terrence’s tenderness.
If Terrence really wanted to treat her well, why bother waiting
for a whole seven years before remembering to celebrate her
birthday?
Love really easily confuses people’s eyes…
Bethany picked up her phone, came out of the room, and
returned the phone to Eliza.
Chapter85
Eliza saw Bethany’s pale face and worried. She wanted to ask if
Mrs. McConnell had a fight with Mr. McConnell, but she didn’t
dare to say much.
Since the appearance of Krista, this family has become very
sensitive.
Bethany held her phone and typed a line of text.
“Eliza, I wanted to eat a croissant from Felicity Bakery, so I went
out for a while.“”
“Mrs. McConnell paid attention to safety.”
Bethany took off the ring and placed it on the dressing table.
She didn’t bring anything, just went out with her small bag on
her back.
Bethany stood by the roadside waiting for a bus.
Suddenly, a familiar car stopped beside her, with the car
“I just returned to my home country and there wasn’t anything
particularly important. I hurriedly went back to my hometown
last time and didn’t have a chance to visit some relatives and
friends. So, I took this opportunity to go and see them. It’s not solely for the purpose of seeing you.”
He said so, and Bethany didn’t say anything more.
After a while, Julio said again, “That day, Evangeline didn’t do anything to you, right?”
Bethany shook her head.
Evangeline’s temper, she had long been accustomed to.
Despite this, Julio couldn’t help but worry.
There were some things that he was also too embarrassed to ask
too clearly.
After all, it was Bethany’s family matter.
He vaguely felt that Bethany’s marriage might not have been happy.
A happy woman, the light in her eyes, was not like this.
Chapter 5
Julio was contemplating how to indirectly ask Bethany when
he glanced sideways and realized that Bethany had fallen
asleep.
How did I end up so tired?
How long had you been on the car?
Julio furrowed his brow and slowed down the car.
Originally a two to three hour drive, he drove for five hours.
We were almost at Bethany’s house, but she was still asleep.
Julio’s heart ached.
