Catherine’s sudden appearance threw the whole banquet hall into chaos. Guests were screaming and scrambling to get away.
Gigi couldn’t believe what she was seeing and shouted, “You’ve already broken the law, Catherine! Breaking out of prison just makes it
worse. Put the knife down.”
Catherine ignored those words completely. She closed in on Gigi, muttering, “It’s your fault. You threw me in prison, and I went through hell in there. This is the day you pay the price.”
Her eyes burned with pure hatred, looking like she wanted to tear Gigi apart. The Hart family was caught off guard, and they didn’t
know how to react.
Catherine raised her knife and was about to stab Gigi when a figure darted out and threw themselves into the scene.
Without a second thought, Rylan jumped in front of Gigi and shouted, “Take it out on me, Catherine.”
Catherine’s eyes lit up with madness. Without the slightest hesitation, she drove the knife straight into Rylan’s chest.
“Rylan!”
But Catherine was too far gone. She raised the knife again, aiming for Gigi. Just in the nick of time, the Hart family finally sprang into
action.
In a heartbeat, Donovan leapt in front of Gigi, yelling, “Have you lost your mind, Catherine? Stop this now!”
Catherine was completely unhinged, like a mad beast on a rampage. She ignored all the warnings and thrust the knife right at Donovan. The knife sank into his abdomen before he had a chance to react. Blood soaked through his shirt in seconds. Still, he gritted his teeth and shielded Gigi with everything he had.
The sight of Donovan bleeding made Meredith shriek in horror. But without a moment’s hesitation, she rushed in and tried to hold Catherine back, desperate to stop her.
Meredith cried out, her voice cracking with pain and desperation, “What the hell are you doing, Catherine? She is your sister.” Catherine shoved Meredith hard, knocking her to the floor. Then, she lunged at Gigi with the knife again.
