Chapter128
Said no out loud, but whether it was making the kid call her mom or coming back to the old house, wasn’t it all just to let the grandparents control him?
Self–logic closed loop, Maxwell got even angrier.
How did she become like this?
She used to be so gentle and well–behaved.
All the pity I felt for her last night had now turned into an insult to
him.
The
grip on her wrist got tighter, and it hurt Stephanie’s hand..
Once again, she couldn’t break free. Stephanie hated that her body wasn’t strong enough to fight him.
If it wasn’t for getting drunk last night, if it wasn’t to make things clear with the two old folks, she wouldn’t have stayed here at all!
“What do you want from me!” Stephanie yelled angrily.
“We’re going to see Grandpa and Grandma later. Don’t say anything you shouldn’t.” Maxwell warned. “Stephanie, don’t make me hate you.”
Stephanie was so mad she laughed.
“Who are you supposed to be when you say that to me?” she said coldly, “My future ex–husband?”
“Stephanie!”

“Let go of me.” Stephanie said sharply “Don’t make me think you’re just some brute who only knows how to use force and has no brains!”
The two were arguing in the woods, and Edwin saw it.
He went from wanting to break up the fight at first to now just sighing helplessly.
“Madam Humphrey, you actually let them stay overnight because wanted them to talk things out and make up.”

Edwin shook his head, let out a long sigh, and muttered to himself. “But it looked like the misunderstanding between them was even deeper than before.”
“What should I do about this…”
Seeing the two over there already arguing and heading into the villa. Edwin followed from a distance.
We ate breakfast in silence. Stephanie and Leonard, Jennifer left out things like Tanzanite, and just explained the adoption of Belinda as an invitation from Jeremiah.
The two old people had no objection to Stephanie putting Belinda under her mother’s name.
After all, in the eyes of the two old folks, Maxwell and Stephanie were still married even though they were fighting. As long as they talked things out and cleared up the misunderstanding, they still had a lor life ahead, and they would have kids later
See, weren’t there still marks left by the two of them on Maxwell’s lips?
And besides, neither of them was 30 yet, and legally they hadn’t

reached the age to be adoptive parents. So this was the best way to
handle it.
As for having one more kid, it really didn’t matter. If Stephanie liked it. then just focused on getting better and raising the kid well.
“Steph, bring Belinda back to visit when you have time” Leonard reminded gently at last.
Stephanie didn’t want to say yes, but she thought it was better to avoid trouble. Plus, with the power the Humphrey Group had in Haraville, if Leonard really wanted to see Belinda, it would’ve been easy.
It would’ve been better if she had just said yes, then she could’ve controlled when, where, and how they met, and besides, Leonard wasn’t that kind of person.
So she just nodded.
Maxwell, who was standing nearby, saw Stephanie nod and felt even
more sure.
But he didn’t show it in front of Leonard, just lowered his eyes a little and stayed quiet.
We chatted a bit more, so this visit to the old house was over.
After leaving Moon Manor, Stephanie got out of the car and walked to
her own car.
Open the car door, buckle up, start the engine, and go–all in one go.
Didn’t look back at Maxwell once.
Maxwell watched as Stephanie drove away quickly and neatly. He followed her without saying a word. At the next intersection, he turned his car around, and the two cars went off in different directions.

Chapter128
Stephanic first picked up Belinda and took her to school, then she got a call from McKayla.
“Steph, do you have a minute to come over? We’re restoring the data on Alaina’s phone right now!” McKayla’s voice was full of excitement.
After the last “The Ethereal Voice” second livestream, McKayla told her that she ran into an audience member who was secretly recording at the event. They went to talk that night, and then found out that person had always wanted to expose something, but just didn’t have the right evidence.
Later, McKayla got in touch several more times, finally built trust between them, and then they compared what they had.
The data expert Patrick introduced to McKayla before was abroad, so it was necessary to mail the phone over, which wasn’t convenient.
The last time McKayla and Logan met was just yesterday afternoon, and Logan, who knew McKayla had a phone in her hand, got really excited.
