Chapter 189: The Island Prison
Chapter 189: The Island Prison
(Aria’s POV)
The acrid smell of salt and diesel fuel filled my nostrils as I crawled out of the shipping container, my pregnant wolf whimpering anxiously within me. My legs trembled beneath me as I struggled to stand, disoriented and terrified after what felt like hours of darkness.
“Who are you?” A sharp female voice cut through the air. “Are you a stowaway?”
I looked up to see a woman in her thirties eyeing me with suspicion, her dark hair pulled back in a severe bun. Her wolf’s scent carried notes of authority mixed with underlying fear.
“I… I was kidn*pped,” I stammered, my hand instinctively moving to protect my swollen belly. “I escaped into this container. Please, I just need to borrow a phone to contact my family.”
Her calculating gaze quickly shifted to my pregnant state, and I saw something flicker in her eyes – perhaps. maternal recognition or sympathy.
“You’re pregnant,” she stated, her voice softening slightly. “How far along?”
“Five months,” I replied, trying to keep my voice steady despite my terror. “Please, I can reward you well if you help me contact my mate. He’s… he’s very wealthy and powerful.”
The woman studied me for a long moment, her wolf’s instincts clearly warring between caution and compassion.
“I’m Rosa,” she said finally. “And you’re in a lot of trouble, girl.”
“What do you mean?” My heart sank at her ominous tone.
“You’re on Crystal Island,” Rosa explained, her voice dropping to a whisper. “This place doesn’t exist on any official maps. The only way on or off this island is with the permission of Kane.”
“Kane?” I repeated, my pregnant wolf stirring with unease.
“He controls all maritime import and export activities here,” Rosa continued, glancing nervously around the dock. “He’s connected to a powerful criminal organization. Very dangerous people, sweetie.”
My hopes of easy escape crumbled. “But surely there must be some way…”
“Listen,” Rosa interrupted, her maternal instincts evident despite her fear. “Kane is hosting important guests on the island today. Rich, powerful men who pay very well for… entertainment.”
The way she said ‘entertainment‘ made my skin crawl. I could smell the resignation and fear in her wolf’s
scent.
“What kind of entertainment?” I asked, though I dreaded the answer,
“The kind that involves young women,” Rosa said bluntly. “I brought several girls with me to… serve the guests.”
My pregnant wolf recoiled in horror. “You mean…”
“I mean whatever those men want,” Rosa replied, her voice hardening. “But you’re pregnant. That might

actually work in your favor.”
“How?” I asked desperately.
“Most of these clients prefer their women… unencumbered,” Rosa explained. “Your condition might make you invisible to them.”
She paused, studying my face carefully. “I’ll tell you what. You can be my assistant for tonight. Keep your head down, stay in the shadows, and maybe you’ll survive this.”
“Thank you,” I whispered, relief flooding through me despite the precarious nature of my situation.
–
Rosa’s expression grew serious. “But understand this if Kane takes an interest in you, there’s nothing I can do to protect you. He gets what he wants, always.”
My pregnant wolf whimpered with fear, but I nodded my understanding. This was my only chance to stay alive long enough to figure out an escape plan.
“Come on,” Rosa said, gesturing for me to follow. “We need to get you cleaned up and ready. The guests will be expecting their entertainment soon.”
As we walked toward a cluster of buildings, I could see other women being escorted by men in expensive suits. Their wolf scents carried terror and defeat, and I realized with horror that these were the ‘entertainers‘ Rosa had mentioned.
“Remember,” Rosa whispered urgently, “you’re my distant relative’s wife. Visiting from the mainland. Keep your mouth shut unless someone asks you a direct question.”
I nodded, my hand still pressed protectively against my belly. My pup was restless, sensing my distress through our bond.
We approached a lavish building that looked like it had been transplanted from a luxury resort. Despite the tropical setting, the atmosphere was oppressive and threatening.
“Rosa!” A deep male voice called out, and I saw a man in an expensive suit approaching us. His predatory wolf scent made my skin crawl, and I instinctively stepped deeper into Rosa’s shadow.
“Kane,” Rosa replied, her voice carefully neutral. “Everything is prepared as requested.”
“Good,” Kane replied, his calculating gaze sweeping over the women Rosa had brought. “My guests have very specific tastes, and I trust you won’t disappoint them.”
His words carried barely contained menace, and I could smell Rosa’s fear spike in response.
“Of course not,” Rosa said quickly. “May I introduce Lily? She’s particularly skilled at… conversation!
Kane barely glanced at the beautiful girl Rosa indicated. Instead, his predatory gaze had somehow despite my attempts to remain invisible.
“And who is this?” he asked, his voice carrying dangerous interest.
My pregnant wolf cowered as his attention focused on me like a spotlight.
and me
“This is… my distant relative’s wife,” Rosa said, her voice trembling slightly. “She’s just visiting from the mainland. Nothing more.”
Kane’s eyes glittered with cruel amusement. “Married, you say? And pregnant?”

“Yes,” Rosa replied quickly. “Nothing that would interest your distinguished guests.
“On the contrary,” Kane said, his smile turning predatory. “I know Director Stone quite well. He’s in the real estate business, and he has very… specific preferences.”
My blood ran cold at his implication. Director Stone enjoyed married women? Pregnant women?
“I’m sure he would be delighted to meet her,” Kane continued, his words making my pregnant wolf recoil in terror.
“Sir, I really don’t think-” Rosa began, but Kane cut her off.
“I think I know my clients better than you do,” he said coldly, his Alpha authority radiating menace.
Before I could react, Kane’s hand shot out and grabbed my wrist with his enhanced werewolf strength. His grip was painful and possessive.
“Come along, my dear,” he said with false politeness. “I have someone very special I’d like you to meet. “No, please,” I tried to pull away, but his grip was unbreakable. “I’m not… I can’t…”
“You can and you will,” Kane replied, his voice carrying the full–force of his Alpha command. “My guests pay handsomely for the privilege of my hospitality, and I always deliver what I promise.”
He began dragging me toward the banquet hall, my pregnant wolf howling with distress. Rosa followed behind us, her face pale with fear and regret.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, but I could barely hear her over the pounding of my heart.
The banquet hall was filled with the sound of male laughter and clinking glasses. Rich, powerful men sat at elegantly set tables, their wolf scents carrying notes of dominance and entitlement.
Kane’s entrance with me drew immediate attention. I could feel dozens of predatory gazes focusing on my pregnant form, and my skin crawled with revulsion.
“Gentlemen!” Kane announced loudly. “I have a special treat for you tonight.”
A bald man at the nearest table looked up, his eyes widening with disturbing excitement as he took in my condition.
“Well, well,” he said, his voice thick with anticipation. “What have we here?”
“Director Stone,” Kane said with obvious satisfaction. “Meet my latest acquisition. A married woman, as you can see, and carrying her first pup.”
Director Stone’s eyes gleamed with sick pleasure. “Magnificent! Absolutely magnificent! The anticipation has been killing me.”
Kane’s grip on my wrist tightened as he offered me to the man with casual cruelty. “She’s all yours, Director. Enjoy yourself.”
