"Beau." Daddy suddenly says, making Beau's eyes widen in fear. Even though Beau will be the new Alpha, no one can stand up to Daddy. Daddy and Alpha Warrick are the only ones we're scared of, and of course our Mommy's.
"Could you please excuse my daughter and I? We have a family discussion that needs to be taken care of at the moment."
"Y-Yes Sir. That's okay." Daddy smirks as Beau runs away, no matter how tough Beau claims to be, he's still intimidated by Daddy.
"Is something wrong Daddy?" I ask worriedly. We've never had a family meeting where Beau couldn't attend. Daddy chuckles and ruffles my hair, causing me to glare up at him. He sets me down when we're inside and heads up to our living quarters. I follow behind him, still questioning what's wrong. He doesn't answer me, only says that it's a 'surprise', he was always so vague.
As we approach upstairs I smell Mommy inside. Is something wrong with Mommy? Am I in trouble?
"Stop worrying Izzy. Everythings fine." Daddys says as he opens the door and lets me enter first. He quickly follows me, closing the door again, then heading into the kitchen where Mommy is. As we walk in I see her eating a packet of chips. Odd, Mommy doesn't like chips that much. When she sees us her smile becomes brighter, before she grabs my hand and walks to the living room. She makes me sit then she and Daddy sit across from me.
"What's wrong?" I try to ask again but to no avail, all they do is smile.
"You guy's are creeping me out now."
"Oh just tell her." Mommy says, hitting Daddy on the shoulder. He wince slightly but tries to hide it. He clears his throat before looking at me.
"Izzy, your Mother and I have some big news-"
"We're having another baby!" Mommy suddenly yells, interrupting Daddy. He playfully glares over at her, making her smile innocently at him.
A baby?
I'm going to have another sibling?
"Well, what do you think of the news Sweety?" Daddy asks me as he sees that I haven't said anything yet, just sat there with my mouth open.
"This is amazing!" I say with a huge smile and I don't believe their smile could be any brighter.
"...Izzy? Izzy, wake up. Wake up Izzy." I suddenly hear someone's voice. My eyes flutter open, but still seems to be blurry. I groan as I feel a sharp pain in my head. I slowly sit up as I rub my head, trying to ease the pain.
"I just had the weirdest dream. We were talking then suddenly my parents showed up-" I abruptly stop talking as I see who's standing in front of me. They look the same as they did on the day that I lost them. His hair now though, is more like salt and pepper while her hair is still a dark brown, no grey hairs in sight.
"We couldn't-"
"Bullshit!"
"Language Izzy!" Mother yells at me, glaring.
They could have come home. I wouldn't have been abused. My pack wouldn't have hated me, Beau would have accepted me...But then I would have never met Theo. Maybe I would have but we wouldn't be mates then.
"Izzy I know this is a lot to handle but just let us explain. Please?" I look over at Dad, feeling confused and scared. I turn to Theo and he's glaring down at the grass.
"Theo?" I call out to him, wanting to know that he's okay. His head snaps up to meet my gaze, confusion clear in his eyes.
"Ask them what happened that day." He asks me through the mind link, still staring at me.
"He wants to know what happened that day." I say facing them, crossing setting my baby brother on the ground before crossing my arms over my chest.
