Not Ready For My Mate novel Chapter 60

"Don't try anything with my sister if she's not your mate!" I yell at him, this time it's not Gage who's in control, it's me. For the first time in so long.

Instead of him cowering away in fear he bursts out laughing which leads to him falling onto the floor laughing even more. "Y-You t-think that I-I'd try something w-with Callie?" He says in between laughs.

We don't reply and just watch him curiously. "What's wrong with him?" I ask Gage but all I receive is a grunt from him. Big baby.

"Dude there's no way I'd ever do anything with Callie. No offense to her but first of all my mate would kill me, second of all I'm gay." He says calming down from his laughing episode. "You are?" We ask him, he doesn't seem gay. No offense to him I just would have never guessed.

"Yes. Now come on get dressed!" He yells then leaves the room as well.

We sit there and fall back onto the bed. "Theo how did you do that?" Gage asks me. "Honestly? I have no idea. I just got very protective and it came out. Guess that thing around your neck isn't as strong as they thought it was." I say smiling inside of our head.

Gage doesn't say anything too me, he only lays there doing nothing. "Gage?" I ask him worriedly.

"I'm fine. It's nothing." He says then goes to the bathroom and showers.

Once we're done we head too the kitchen, after getting directions of course. When we walk in we immediatly see the family. I look over at all of them and smile while Gage pretends he's not looking at them. "Morning." We say as we sit down next too Uncle Jordan.

"You mean afternoon." Uncle Jordan says chuckling. We smile and nod our head. "Theo one of the older Ancients are coming here too explain everything, alright?" Mother says as she puts a plate in front of me. "Thats fine. Quick question, what is this?" We ask them as we look down at the round food in front of us.

"It's a pancake Theo. You've never had one?"

"Nice to meet you two too." We say to the both of them. "You don't look like an Ancient." We say as we look at his appearance again. Everyone chuckles around us. "Believe me I don't actually look my true age. When you're appointed an Ancient you stay in the age you were before, until the next Ancients are appointed then your body goes back to normal ageing."

We nod our head, understanding now. "Oh okay. That makes sense." We say with a warm smile. "Well how about we go outside so I can see what we're dealing with?" He says looking between us and Mother. "Let's go." She says and everyone stands up and leaves the kitchen.

This family loves doing everything together.

We stand up and walk out. As we walk we see Mother and Father walking hand in hand. They stand as close as can be while smiling up at each other. You can easily see the love and admiration in their eyes for each other.

We reach the huge garden after a lot of walking and stand in the middle. It's a very beautiful garden, so many flowers all around us. We've never seen so many flowers in our enitre life. As they all talk we silently walk over too the flowers. We run our hand through it and smell the heavenly scents they offer.
