Not Ready For My Mate novel Chapter 58

We continued to scream out for help and in pain. After 20 minutes of the agonizing pain we pass out from exhaustion.

Our eye fluttered open but quickly shut closed from the bright light. We opened it again and it took several blinks to adjust to the lightning. We stared at the ceiling for a few minutes just to regain our thoughts.

"What happend?" I asked him while we sit up and examine the room we're currently in. "I don't know? Last thing I remember is seeing our parents." I smiled inside our head at his slip of the tongue.

"You just admitted-"

"I admit nothing!" He booms in our head using his Alpha voice. He thinks it makes me submit to him but he always forgets that it's my voice too. We look around again and see that we're in the infirmary.

We lay back down and close our eyes, relishing the silence. Though everything is short lived once we heard the door open softly. We took a peak at who the intruder was, already in an attack position but we saw it was just our mother.

"She's not our mother!" Gage yelled, again. "Would you quit whining like a little pup? Gosh you're worse than those babies at the nursery!" I yelled at him but immediately regretted it. I knew how he felt about the nursery.

We volunteered there all the time, helping to clean diapers, feeding the kids, playing with them but what we really enjoyed was when we got to do arts and craft with them. It was the cutest thing, you'd tell them to draw anything that comes to their minds and they'd immediately have an idea.

That's basically the only thing Gage cared about after we lost our adoptive family. Staying in that cell, we would always think back on memories we shared with our family and with the kids.

They're gone now.

It was the one time Gage ever refused to follow an order after the medallion was placed around our neck.

They brought in this kid who immediately reminded us of a little boy named Maver. He was the cutest thing we had ever seen but when we saw that little boy in our cell, Gage lost it.

He took so many beatings but he still would not harm that little boy. Then they did the worse thing imaginable for Gage and myself. They threatened to harm the nursery if we did not kill this boy.

That was a low blow for Gage and myself. Gage always thought of those children as his own pups. They took it away from us.

Gage killed the boy but they lied. They still went after the nursery. It held over 50 kids and then over 20 staff members.

They burned it down.

We stand up and look closer at him and see he looks similar to mother. Well he is our uncle apparently so we can believe he is her brother. We notice he's wearing a lab coat and a bunch of papers are now all across the floor.

"I'm good. Dang boy you got a good grip." He chuckles while standing up and dusting himself off. He collects the papers and we help. We hand it to him and we go to sit down again.

"Okay Theo. I'm your Uncle Cole. I'm just going to examine you quick, run a few tests alright?" We nod our head and he begins to check us.

After he's finished he smiles and writes something down on one of the papers. "Well everything seems alright, nothing I can find is wrong with him. I just want you too shift please Theo." We look at him then to mother. She nods her head and we begin to undress in front of them until we're left only in our boxers.

Immediately we shift. Its not as painful as the one that made me end up here but my head did still hurt a little.

Once shifted I look up at them and both of them are gaping at us. "Wow and I thought only I had that." Mother says and chuckles. "There's a mirror over there Theo." Uncle Cole tells me while pointing towards another side of the room.

We walk over to it expecting to see our normal brown fur coat but instead we're met with brown fur but it also has red swirls all over it. We jump back in surprise and quickly shift.
