Chapter 128
VIARRIAGE WITH THE DEVIL
“I’m gonna talk to him, Antonio said.
“Don’t, I warned.
“Niko,” Antonio grinned at him. He stilled but then continued walking as if nothing happened. “Niko!” he called again.
Don’t call me that! It’s Nikolai for you,” he snapped at him.
My jaw clenched at his tone, and I forced myself not to react. I don’t take disrespect well. Antonio was my driver; even if anyone insulted one of my soldiers, I’d put a fucking bullet between their eyes.
“You’re still mad?” he asked.
“Nope, I’m just not interested in talking to you anymore,” Nikolai answered.
“Nikolai,” I called his name through gritted teeth.
“That’s enough!”
“Am I being disrespectful to your men, Alessandro? Well, I’m not sorry. You can throw me out of your house if you want to, I don’t mind, he crossed his arms over his chest and shot me a glare that told me he was trying to push me.
He has no fucking idea what happens when someone pushes me too far. He only knows the way I punish him during sex.
“You’re not fucking leaving this house any time soon, get it through your thick skull.”
He rolled his eyes and looked to the side out of the open doors. My soldiers were all patrolling all around the driveway; there was no way to get out of here. I stared down at him and noticed the detachment on his face. That’s what was wrong with him. It was like he was present, but he wasn’t really there he was somewhere I couldn’t fucking reach.
I hated that.
He turned his back towards us and went into the kitchen. Probably to cook breakfast for himself. He didn’t know how to cook shit.
“I’ll be right back,” I said to Antonio, who nodded.
I followed him into the kitchen and saw him using his cell phone while he placed some of the ingredients on the counter. It looked like he wanted to make pancakes. He played a video and placed it before him while he followed whatever the lady in the video was narrating.
“Do you remember the rules?”
He stopped whatever he was doing and glanced at me, his facial expression bored, uninterested.
“I remember,” he answered, and before I could say anything, he added, “But I could care less for them.”
Rage coursed through my veins like wildfire. He was testing me, trying hard for me to slip up so he could hold it against me.
“Nikolai, don’t disrespect my men. I won’t tolerate that shit.”
He slammed the bowl in his hand on the counter with a loud bang. “I am not asking you to tolerate me. I can leave if you want.”
I could feel the heat of his glare. Every time he opened his mouth to show how much he wanted to be anywhere but here only strengthened my decision to never let him go. He was fucking mine. And he had no idea what lengths I’d go to keep it that way.
