The carriage followed behind leisurely. The crowd around them cheered, and everyone's faces showed their delight.
At this time, Reese ran into the crowd and tapped an older gentleman on the shoulder. "Mister, what's going on? Who's getting married in this grand procession?"
The man looked Reese up and down, commenting, "You must not be from here."
"Yes, I just came today."
"Well, you're here at the right time. Today is our governor’s daughter’s wedding day. Almost everyone in the city has been invited to attend the wedding."
"Everyone? I don't think the city is small. There must be at least hundreds of thousands of people."
"The governor has been in a good mood. I heard that the groom is the son of a famous wealthy businessman in Capiton. Looks like the governor might get even wealthier than he already is."
"Oh, I see..."
Suddenly, Reese's stomach made a rumbling sound.
The man saw Reese's pitiful look and kindly reminded him, "Young man, if you’re looking for something to eat, just follow the parade. As I said just now, the governor has invited everyone in the city to participate. It doesn’t matter if you take an extra share of food.”
Reese hesitated a little at this time.
He thought to himself, ‘Isn't it a bit inappropriate for me to participate in someone else’s wedding parade dressed like this?’
Suddenly, there was a commotion from the front of the parade.
Reese and Wrendell looked in the direction where the sound came from. The parade-goers in front of them had stopped in their tracks.
Reese had a bad feeling and immediately called Wrendell to run forward to check. In front of the parade, a group of black sports cars had blocked the entire way.
At this time, a rebellious-looking ruffian in sunglasses walked out. He wandered to the middle and shouted loudly, "Come out, Old Wakefield!"
"Listen up, my name is Tybalt Lumley!"
As soon as Tybalt declared his name, the onlookers started muttering under their breaths.
"Tybalt Lumley? Isn't he dead?"
“I-Is this person in front of me a human or a ghost?"
"What the hell is going on?"
"Tybalt Lumley?" The young heir smiled, then retorted in a mocking tone, "I was thinking who could it be. So, it’s you, that good-for-nothing son-in-law from back then. You're really lucky that you’re not dead yet."
The corners of Tybalt’s mouth trembled slightly as he hissed, "Boy, it seems you really do have a death wish."
