Zenon arrived at a secluded underground bar. Upon entering, he walked up to the bar and asked the bartender, "How's business these days?"
The bartender responded with a non-sequitur, "Skewers and grilled kidneys."
"How much are they?" Zenon probed further.
"Three," the bartender replied.
"And today's special?" Zenon continued.
"Puff rolls," the bartender said.
"I got it." Zenon nodded and moved further into the bar. This place was one of the branches of the Hunting Organization.
Inside, someone was resting. Hearing the door open, the person asked quietly, "What brings you here, Zenon?"
Zenon quickly pulled out a photo of Astin and asked, "Have you investigated the guy in this photo, Immanuel?"
Immanuel Herrera was calmly organizing his cannon and ammunition. Without haste, he pulled out a file from the side. "Here it is, but I suggest you calm down first."
"Calm down?" Zenon scoffed. "Do you even know what you're saying? This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! How can you ask me to calm down?"
Immanuel handed a cup of tea to Zenon and said in a composed tone, "I understand you want revenge, but right now, we may not be able to take him on. Also, the seal is currently stable. If you act recklessly, it could backfire."
"Stable?" Zenon slammed the table hard, glaring at Immanuel. "The bartender already told meβthere have been three high-level demon incidents just in the past few days, and you call that stable? There's only one thing to do now, which is to kill Astin immediately!"
"I know you're eager for revenge," Immanuel replied without looking at Zenon, continuing to assemble his weapon. He added, "But I've warned you, it's too unstable. What if it leads to another tragedy like last time? Do you want to end up slaughtering your own men, just like those people in the past?"
These words struck Zenon silent. He knew all too well that he was being impulsive. Even though Five's power was only a fifth of what it once was, its full eruption could still cause catastrophic damage. Zenon begrudgingly admitted his lack of composure.
"Immanuel! I don't expect you to help me or understand, but don't get in the way of my actions!"
Immanuel looked up, locking eyes with Zenon.
"So, you're just here to inform me?"
"That's right!"
"Ugh, such a grim expression." Immanuel scoffed. "But what if you fail?"
"Then I'll die trying!"
"What good would that do?" Immanuel shoved Zenon away, angrily questioning, "Did your brother give up his chance to live just so you could go on a suicide mission?!"
