I shook my head.
He smiled. "And thus, you can't believe everything written in books."
Though I didn't particularly agree with that, I stopped talking.
By the time we got back to the villa, it was already very late.
The sky in Jarold City grew dark in the blink of an eye. Nerissa said that it was probably going to snow again.
Sure enough, as Nerissa said, it snowed heavily on the first day of the new year.
The entire room lit up brightly, surrounded by pure white snow.
I woke up very early the next morning. Well, to be exact, I did not sleep all night. Hendrix looked at me worriedly. "Are you sick?"
I shook my head and looked at him, "It's snowing. Be careful when you go out."
He nodded, checked the time, got up and went to the bathroom.
I got up as well and went to the balcony. The snow was particularly heavy. A lot of the trees in the yard had been crushed by the snow.
It was not the best time to be out right now.
As my body was pulled into a warm embrace, a familiar breath came over me. I looked back at him and asked, "Hendrix, is Josiah coming to pick Anne up these few days?"
He nodded and put his chin on my shoulder, "Anne is on her holiday now and she has been home for the past few days. We don't have time to take her out to play. So, it's good for her to go on a trip to Hanlusia City with Josiah.
I paused for a moment, squatted down and looked at her, "Anne, I may not be able to take you back to Hovell this holiday. I promised Mr. Saunders that I would let him take you on a visit to Hanlusia City."
Hearing this, Anne's expression turned sour. She looked upset and unhappy. "But when I came here, I told Bennett that I would go back to see him when I am on holiday."
I looked back at Hendrix and didn't know what to say.
Hendrix then walked to Anne's side and looked at her. "Anne, how about this? You and Mr. Saunders can go play in Hovell for a few days, and after you see Bennett, you can go to Hanlusia City with Mr. Saunders. This way, the two of you will not be breaking any promises, is that okay?"
The little fellow bowed her head and pondered about Hendrix's suggestion seriously. With a slight sigh, she said, "Okay then!"
After a pause, she looked at us and said, "Why can't you two go with me though?"
